My favorite book is probley, well hmmm I will have to say either I,Q
or Eragon or Eldest I mean I just made a really tough choice because these three books are really good oh and another is Sister of the South now I probley like more but I will not list them in I,Q it takes you to a certain point of view that I have always wanted to experince in the star trek universe in Eragon and Eldest I think the way the book was written was very good not just the story in Sister of the South is the big epic battle that I had been waiting to come out for years. Oh and another awesome one is The last command i think in that one star wars is at its best I like these five authors Peter David, John De Lance (He's also an actor), Emily Rodda, Christopher Paonili, and Timothy Zahn are what for me really defines the term "A really good book."
If I were to pick a book I would pick Yoda's Journal. a book about me.
Dear Miss Miller,
I think my favorite book is more of a series. The books titled
A Series of Unfortunent Events.
I like it because they have funny characters and in every book a strange character appears. I also like The Indiana Jones Books, because of the excitement and the danger. I also like the Indiana Jones movies. I also read any kind of war books,Civil War, French Revelution, The indian wars and many many more. I also when I'm bored I will read Encyclopedia's and a dictionary. That's right a dictionary. I would also have to say Hatchet, becuse of the action and the hardship.
Well those are my favoite books,

My favorite book of all time would probably be The Duct Tape book by Jim and Tim The Duct Tape Guys. It is about 350 pages long. I like it because it tells you lots of things you can do with duct tape. It is also very funny. Some things you can do with duct tape are covering your clothes in them so they are waterproof, and duct taping the remote for your TV to your arm so no one else can take it. I have four duct tape books, a duct tape movie, and lots of rolls of duct tape. Duct tape is not only man's best friend it is the best tool in the world.
Emily Plumeau
My favorite book is Black beauty. I love horses so I tent to read some horse books alot. This one was my favorite because of what happens throughout the story. For example, when Beauty is just a baby a race horse dies. How would you like it if tou learned about death when you were just learning to walk. When Beauty grows his life gets many twists, like when he saves his trainer form a rain storm, but then he gets colic! Only 30% of horses survive colic. Another time he gets out of a huge fire! Then he has to move from his barn and become a carrage horse. The knew owner was great, but he couldn't keep Beauty so he sold Beauty to the meanest carrage person around. Beauty couldn't stand the sacks that they put on his back. He was also depressed because Ginger just dided. Beauty couldn't handdel it any longer, he fell. The mean person sold him, but nobody wanted a skiney no good horse. Then Beauty saw the old owner, the nice one! Black Beauty lived a long happy life at the ranch that he knew. This was the best book ever! It had sad, mad, and happy feelings. I loved it and if you read it you will too!
My favorite book is a series of books called Redwall. I love Redwall books because they have lots of action. They also have adventure in them. My favorite charecters are Martin the Warrior(mouse) and Log-a-Log(shrew) the sailor. They are both great fighters and nice people. My favorite books in the series are Mossflower. In Mossflower, Martin and Log-a-Log have to help the greatest warrior ever Named Boar the Fighter. The auther of these books is Brian Jaques. The T.V show is based off these great books. This is my favorite book series of all time.
My favorite book is called the good dog. It is by AVI. AVI is my favorite another. The reasons I like this book is because I love dogs. I also like adventures. This book is about a malamute who is the leader his name is McKinley. He meets a wolf and many things bad happen. A shot in a leg, a mean owner, and a new leader. Will McKinley be ok? McKinley has lots of friends. One of his friend’s names is Aspen. She is a nice dog. I have read tons of books By AVI. About 5 or more.

My favorite book would probably be "The Tail of Emily Windsnap". It is by Liz Kessler.
Why I liked the book so much is because it had alot of suspense. The book just made you want to keep reading. The story has 208 pages and has 16 chapters. Here's a short reveiw: A girl named Emily lives in a houseboat on the water. One day she starts swimming lessons. When she goes into the water her legs start to feel like there coming together. She had never swam before but when she dove in it seemed like she had been swimming all her life. That night she put on her suit and went into the water. She realized that she was a mermaid! She met a friend named Shona.
You will have to read this book to see why she's a mermaid and learn about never giving up. I hope you read it ( it's more of a girls book) and enjoy it as much as I did. The End
My favorite book of all time would have to be i Robot. I like it because it has a whole lot of action. The book has a lot of suspense, and it makes you just want to read more and more. Here is my summary. There is a world full of robots and people. There is one man that does not like the robots. This man is a suicide cop. He tries to find a way to blame the robots but he can't. He got a call that the creator of the robots commited suiside, but the cop doesn't think so. Ican't say anymore. I think I told you too much.
Hi 6th graders, being your past librarian I certainly have lots of great books that I like...of course many of them you can find right at the FIL library!
My favorite authors are: Madeleine L'Engle, and the series that is my favorite of her's is the Wrinkle in Time....Science Fiction Fantasy, good vs. evil. Next favorite is The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis...they are making it into a movie.
I also really liked Eragon and another favorite is Inkheart & Dragon Rider by Corniella Funke.
Have fun reading!
Mrs. Zellmer
My favorite books are the Lord of the Rings books. The movies are really good because they have lots of death and destruction in them. They are also funny because it is hilarious when all the people are getting massacred and killed. I think Eragon and Eldest are the stupidest books ever. Go Lord of the Rings and Star Wars!
LUIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Upon further review, Karen Traviss is a great auther, she pioneered the Mando culture in star wars and the Republic Commando series is great.
Ah yes, I had no idea at the time what the EU in Star Wars offered, you cannot beat the Republic Commando series. Star Wars books are THE BEST.
I said I'd come back, so I suppose I have to keep my word. It's been over a decade, and I've read quite a few books since sixth grade.
I'll have to give my highest praise to the relatively recently departed Harper Lee. To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book, and Go Set a Watchman is a fascinating unpolished manuscript that captures the disappointment we all feel when we find our heroes are just as fallible and mortal as we are.
Despite the fact that they're children's books that I first read in second grade, I recently read through the entire Animorphs series by K.A. Applegate. Over the more than sixty books, there are a significant handful of plot holes and a tendency to try to relieve tension with silliness, but ultimately, the story is still good. A group of children is given the power to change into any animal whose DNA they acquire in order to try to stop an invasion of parasitic aliens that take over human bodies and blend in to society perfectly. Unlike a lot of fiction, and particularly children's literature, the series doesn't shy from the consequences and implications of the protagonist's actions. We watch them grow disillusioned and broken down, forced to grapple with what they've seen and what they've done.
Garth Nix and Tamora Pierce are two of my greater influences. Nix's Keys to the Kingdom series imagines that there exists a massive administrative structure that serves as the epicenter of the multiverse. The main character is forced through its absurd environments in a quest to acquire the seven keys from the Days of the week who govern there in order to assume his place as the Heir of the Architect of all creation. Pierce writes primarily in two different universes, and the one closest to my heart is the Circle of Magic universe. Here, four children with unusual magics find that together they can work wonders beyond their individual powers. Particularly nifty is how their magics manifest. Sandry finds power in thread, Tris in the weather, Daja in smithing, and Briar in plants. Pierce is also delightfully subversive, portraying strong female leads and leading people of color even in her earliest works. Even today, that's lacking in our literature.
I could certainly go on, but I came here to fulfill my obligation as I promised in 2005. Hopefully, I managed to recommend the more child-friendly literature on my shelf. Gracias para todo, Miss Miller. Espero que tenga una vida feliz en su nuevo mundo.
