Reflections of 6th Grade

As your 6th grade year comes to an end, reflect a bit on the year. What were the best memories you had? Anything you'd rather forget? Was it harder than you thought or easier? What were the things that you thought would be radically different than what they actually were? What will you take with you into 7th grade?

Some of the best memories that I have from this year were when we went to the Sears Tower and when we went to the Field Museum because they happened recently and they were fun. I thought 6th grade would be harder than it really was and last year I thought we were going to have a lot more homework and I thought the homework would be harder. Also, adjusting to the lockers was easier than I thought. Next year I will start my living stones more in the beginning of the year instead of starting them towards the end of April.

The best thing about 6th was having Mr. E for homeroom. He made it really fun. I also liked him for gym. I would rather forget when Zack puked on the bus. Every time I think about it, yuck! 6th grade was much easier for me than I thought. I thought changing classes and using the lockers would be harder but it wasn't so bad. I will take my organization to 7th grade. I really like changing classes and having all the different teachers. Thanks to everyone for a good year and see you next year. Out!

The best memory I have of 6th grade is when Mr. E would make up very funny jokes. The one I remember the best is when three guys were trying to figure out what kind of tacks they are. The 1st guy said he thought they were rabbit tracks. The 2nd guy said he thought they were dear tracks. The 3rd guy said he thought they were bear tracks. But before they could decide they got hit by a train. 6th grade was easier than I had expected because I was afraid that I would get tons of homework. I will carry into 7th grade that we probable have a little more homework then in 6thgrade.

This year was very fun and I had alot of great memories. There was so many I can't remember all of them. I think one of the best highlights of the school year were the "Danny burns". That was hilarious!!!! But somethings I didn't like were all the gym fights. They weren't as bad as the boys but they still aren't fun. Anyways we'd fight over dumb stuff like who would be your partner in the dance unit. Another great time was the chinese lunch. The food was so good! And I really liked the lion dance.Lockers! That was hard to keep my locker clean this year. I'm afraid to clean it out on Friday. This year was a blast! I had so much fun!

one of my favorite memories from 6th grade was the danny burns. it was fun watching him try to burn people. he mostly just took Mr.E's burns. another thing ill miss is having less responsibility. we'll have more homework in 7th grade. i wish we didnt have music class.it was boooooring! the chinese lunch would have been so much better if we didnt have to play recorders and did that dragon dance. ill also miss blogs. it was fun always looking at other peoples blogs. somthing ill bring with me is my christain faith.well, see you next year!

Well I had lots of memories this one was going to the sears tower and I am an afraid of heights because I thought were going in glass elevators. That would totally freak me out. I didn’t like when my ears popped and never knew what it felt like and I didn’t like that, but over all I liked it. Then I also thought the field museum was cool to, that was awesome. I also thought that 6th grade was going to be harder but it wasn’t and a lot of homework but their wasn’t either and I was afraid that I was going to forget my locker combination but that was easy too. But I didn’t like that there was too many fights in gym. But now I am waiting for 7th grade.

I’ve have had many memories but my favorite memory has to be the Chinese luncheon, because we got to have our own recess, watch a movie, eat a delicious lunch and of course have fun talking to friends. One of my not so favorite times was probably when we had unfair teams for gym and people would fight about it because there team was really bad and they lost because of their teammates. Otherwise I thought that the school year was easy than I thought it would be. I also thought that livings stones would be hard to earn. And I thought that my locker wouldn’t open until Mr. E came or Miss. Miller came to help me. I think that next year I will bring back funny inside jokes that I have with friends and more.

One of the best memories that I had was going to the Sears Tower and then to the field museum. Sixth grade was easier than I expected. I thought that changing classes and going to my locker would take some time to get used to but in wasn’t so bad and I thought it would be kind of hard to keep all of my stuff organized. I was scared that we would get tons of homework and have to take tons of notes. I will take into 7th grade my organizational skills and my time management.

One of the best things about sixth grade was having kinder garden buddies! It was fun to hang out with them, they are so cute!!!! I also thought sixth grade was a lot easier than I thought it would be! The homework this year wasn’t that hard! I always thought having a locker would be easier than a desk! But for me it was a lot harder to keep clean! I always seemed to be missing something! In seventh grade I will make sure to have no demerits and no missing homework because I want to do the fun thing at the end of the quarter!

My favorite and most memorable part of 6th grade was our trip to Chicago! It was awesome to see everything from the Sears Tower, because everything looked so small, and going to the Field Museum and seeing all the exhibits was cool too. I don’t think this year was too much harder than 5th grade, but I did like being on the other side of the school and having my own locker. I liked all my teachers! My least favorite class was music, sorry Mrs. Grabenhoffer, and my favorite class was of course, gym, yahoooooo for Mr. E! I will miss you all, but am happy about summer vacation and going up north with my Mom! Waverunners here I come!!!

Some of my best memories happened in homeroom. because we had Mr.e He is a good teacher and fun in gym and homeroom. One of my favorite memories is when is when Zack built a barrier around the computers in Mr.E's room so Danny couldn't play Shadow Knights. Another one is when we had Mr. Lorenzen as a sub and Kaytlens cell phone started ringing in her pocket. The worst I had was when I tripped on the microphone cord in the Poetry Cafe and worst when Trevor was filming he zoomed in on me. I will miss homeroom, and miss Miller as a L.A. teacher. I will bring to 7th grade my messy ways and I gurantee my locker or Binder won't look any diffrent. (Sorry miss Miller I am who I am.) I will also bring a good attitude.

I absolutely LOVED 6th grade!!!!!! It’s hard to pick a favorite memory cause there are so many!!!! One of my favorite memories was listening to the boys sing The Lamb in music class! Simone and I laughed soooo hard that we began to cry. Another was the Chicago trip. It was so much fun even though my group sat at the museum for 2 hours playing cards and singing. A thing I could have forgotten was all the fights the girls got into in gym. Or the fights about who was your friend or not. I am soooooo going to miss Mr.E and Miss Miller soooooo much!!

I was going to use a blog pass, but my mom threw away my backpack, so I have to do it. First, of some of my best memories are the big dodge ball game when it was 6th grade vs. 7th grade, there was the other time when the mixed gym and we played dodge ball, again. The memories I want to forget are all the times someone has punched, kicked, or slapped me. This year was a little easier then I suspected, but it was harder then I wanted it to be. The most difficult part I thought would be having only 3 minutes to get from class to class, which turned out not to be that hard. Finally, what I will take on to 7th grade is the fact that Middle School is a totally different place then Elementary School.

My best memories were my friends and all the fun things we did like in the Chicago field trip we had fun on the bus and at Mc Donald’s. The Greek Olympics were really fun. Some thing I’d rather forget is when SOMEONE shot milk up their nose at me. 6th Grade was easier than I thought we didn’t have that much homework. I thought lockers would be really hard to keep clean but my locker was really not that bad. I will take my faith with me next year. Those are the reflections I have on this year.

One of my favorite memories from sixth grade was going to Chicago. I really enjoyed going to the Sears Tower and to the Field Museum. I also liked being in Mr. Everts’ homeroom because I got to listen to him burn people. Another thing I thought was fun was that we got lockers this year. I thought that the three minutes that we had to go to our lockers and get the stuff for our next class was not going to be very long but it turned out to actually be plenty of time. Over all I thought sixth grade was kind of fun.

the memories I would want to remember is when I got to be able to hang out with my friends and go on field trips and kindergarten buddies and the things I don't want to remember when people got in fights and made fun of me. But when I go to 7th grade I hope I will have a fun time and hopefully I won't get made fun of and have more friends.

The best memories I had in sixth grade was going to Chicago with Mr. Everts as my chaperone. It was cool seeing the animals my favorite memory was when Mr. Everts and our group were looking at these small kangaroolike animals and Mr. Everts was saying, "No That cannot be their name"
and our group was asking him what it was and he said (I shouldn't say it.) and our whole group was laughing and rolling on the floor and counter laughing for 3 minutes. I also will remember jordan reading his poems and laughing the whole time while everyone was watching.
I thought sixth grade would be pretty hard but it was easier than I thought. I will try to do My Living Stones earlier in the year other than later in the year.

I can't know if you'll ever get this, but I just wanted to check in, and thank you again for everything you taught me. What may surprise you, is that your introducing me to blogging may be the one event that has the most impact on my life. Since I began my own blog, I've begun updating regularly, six days a week, and writing constantly. My determination to make it as a writer is stronger by a thousandfold, now that I proved to myself I can write larger quantities without destroying quality. By blogging with you here, I've found the key to my future.

Thank you,
