As we traveled further and further from the entrance of the cave, the few shreds of light grew dimmer and dimmer, until finally, we were only feeling our way along the cave walls, weaving in and out of the stalagmites that poked themselves up from the cave's floor. Just as we became too frozen with fear to go on, we saw it.

My friend reached for my sleeve, trying to make sure I was still there and had not been grabbed by this thing we saw but weren't sure who or what it was. Then I spoke and kind of stumbled on my words as I said, “It- It's fine I'm still here! We are not going to go out until I find out what this thing is! And we're not going to let it scare us! OK?" My friend was dumbfounded and couldn't speak so I thought. Then I said, "Alright let’s go! If you’re scared just leave but I know you will stay with me right?" No answer. Then it hit me. My friend was captured by this thing I didn't know what it was! I thought to myself, "Oh! Why didn't we bring a flash light?" But then I said that I must go and find her! So I crept across the cave floor still feeling my way along the cave walls and dodging the stalagmites and I found a deep tunnel. But it was very small and a might have had trouble getting through it with this big, puffy jacket on. I took my coat off and hoped for the best. Even though I was freezing, I toughed it out and crawled through the hole. It was damp and even colder inside the tunnel but after about a minute of two of crawling I stopped and let my body rest. It's a good thing I did because as I was laying there I found a HUGE drop-off. I was scared stiff. But I found a rock off to the side that if I just jumped onto I could get down by jumping from rock to rock. I realized the dangers of jumping onto the rock but I said my friend is all worth this. So I jumped! PHEW! I made it! Next rock... Yes I made it! Soon I was on the ground of the drop-off. After about ten minutes of searching by feeling around I felt a figure tied in ropes. I called her name and she squeaked. I knew it was my friend. She was tied in ropes. Then I used the pocket knife, my brother gave me to cut the ropes around my friend’s feet, hands and the rope tied to keep the cloth over her face. When I got her out of the ropes we both talked and figured out a way to find the rocks and climb back out to the entrance of the cave. Then my friend said "I think I see light!" "Yes! I do to!" I said. When we got out we told the cave workers everything that happened. They called our parents and they came and picked us up. The next day at school all of our friends wanted to know what happened. My friend and I even got our picture in the Newspaper! So I guess it was all worth it... Don't you think?
There it was in a blink of an eye. Nobody could speak. This can't be true I said. Ok everybody stay calm stay together. When I turned around my friends were all looking at me kind of funny. Just then I realized they've been hypnotized! I screamed what else could I do, oh yah run! Help Help Help my friends just stared at me in confusion. It was like do you know want you are doing to me? All of sudden out of know where something grabs me by the neck. I couldn't breath I gasp for air. This thing I can't figure out what it is but it starts to drag me! I quickly stepped on the things toe and ran! My friends started to follow me. When ever I ran it felt like I was going in circles so I quickly took a sharp turn to the Right. Wrong way because in front of me was one of those things. Then I realized it was a hideous creature by the name of Humbashamba! I quickly went back the other way but I was trapped by my friends. I didn't know what to do but stare in amazement and wonder. Have I just discovered where the evil creature Humbashamba lives! Just then my friends said where are we? I told them to run the other direction but they couldn't there feet were stuck to the ground! Humbashamba was coming closer we screamed so load to our amazement the creature stopped and to this day we don't know what ever made that evil creature change his mind. The End
It was huge and it looked starved. It was standing on two legs with drool dripping from its giant mouth. I could see a glint of its teeth in the dimness of the light. It was a fierce looking grizzly bear with black eyes as dark as night and a thick coat of chocolate brown fur. Then, I heard a bloodcurdling scream from my friend, Karen. I remembered from nature camp that if you come across a bear, you play dead. I immediately dropped to the ground, and Karen looked at me and did the same. I could hear some big pad, pad, padding a few feet away, and in a second, there was an unbearable smell. It was grizzly bear breath, bad breath. I could hear him inhaling and sniffing all over my face. I swallowed, and my heart almost burst through my chest. The bear moved on to Karen, and then, I didn’t know what happened. I couldn’t stand it any longer. I leaped up off the ground, terrified. Karen stared at me wide eyed with that what-are-you-doing look on her face and I heard a loud growl that almost hurt my ears. I could see the bear’s claws shining in my flashlight beam. It started towards me, and its paw just missed my head as I dodged it. Within a split second, a little whining came from behind the grizzly, and out came a little cub. The big bear must’ve been a mother bear. The mom bear looked down at the cub with warm eyes, and the baby stepped in the mother’s path. The mom bent down on four legs, and that’s when I understood. She listened to the cub, because the cub knew that they were not in danger. She had only tried to protect her cub, and I was relieved. The grizzlies ambled away. We were lucky THIS TIME. It was amazing, yet my heart was still pumping hard. Karen and I found our way out of the dark cave in a few minutes. We stared at each other for a moment and then walked on, thinking about our incredible adventure.
My friend and I cringed in fear, until she managed to studder out "Wh-Wha-What is that thing?!?!". We sat there in fear, wondering what it was, because it was so dark and the flashlight wasn’t that bright. The “thing” popped out of its hole and said "HI IM BOB!" We screamed and panicked, but did nothing else. Turned out it was a funny looking doll thing, so we laughed at ourselves for being so scared. I replied "Hello Bob! Do you know where we can find an exit out?", "HI IM BOB!" was his same reply. "Wait..." my friend said, she went over and pushed the "thing", and it fell over, it was only cardbord, but behind it was a tiny figure. That tiny figure wasn’t viewable with the dingy light from our flashlight, so we shined it at close range, prepared to jump. We shined it on the tiny figure and found a radio and strings attached to the cardboard figure. We were curious to see what would happen if we cut the strings, so we grabbed a stalagmite, and pushed and pulled it with all our might, and broke it off. We got out our survival kit, because it had a tiny pocket knife in it. We sharpened the stalagmite, so we could cut the strings. (The pocket knife was apparently too valuable to cut the strings with) We cut them, and we saw some sparks fly, there were wires in the ropes. That explained the "moving" of he figure. We followed the extension cords from the radio, and found a opening, we walked in and saw three black-cloaked people standing before a TV. We walked up to one and pulled the hood down, and found a little kid cracking up. Turns out they tried to scare us, but videotaped us reacting to the "thing". Everyone revealed themselves; they all turned out to be family. We turned bright red, then laughed. They got a good laugh out of it and so did we until we found out that they didn’t set up this particular prank, but a different one that some angered spelunkers fell into. We later found out that for years that same prank occurred to many people, but the culprit was never found. One month later, a nice family was spelunking, and saw a strange creature setting up a cardboard figure, so they called Creature Services ™ to take a look. They put the creature in jail after they identified him as Playa Prank. We laughed at his name, and got over the incident….It was SO worth it.

Then i looked to see if fred was still there. and he was then we ran past him he chased us in the dark. we finaly escaped the monster. then the monster came back and said hi so we talked. he was very nice so we helped him get out of the cave. Later we explored the cave more and found nothing. so we tried to get out but niether fred or I could remember the way out. so we guessed and went the wrong way. but at the othere end was a amazing twenty acre theme park. so fred and i went and played for hours it was fun. we got kicked out when it closed and went home it was awesome. when we got out of the cave we saw the monster he was crying because he was lost. so me and fred took him home and ate dinner with him. then when we got home we told all are friends. then everyone wanted to go to the theme park. so we built lights in the cave and there buiseness was better then ever.

A dragon was right in front ot us. It was as tall as a house, and as long as a freight train. Its breath
reeked of a thousand corpses. I reached in my pocket and offered him a breath mint. I tolded the dragon take it please. The dragon took it and said thanks. The Dragon said, I just finished eating a village full of people. Luckily he was full so we were safe. We convinced him to be a vegetarian. That way he won't get bad breath from the rotting meat and the villagers would be safe. The dragon gave us a ride on his back all the way home. I walked to the gas station and bought a new pack of breath mints.
My brother and I stared at the thing for a few minutes. It looked hungry. Good thing it was sleeping or we might be its supper. Ben and I carefully tiptoed away from the hideous thing. We thought we had just mad when a big wind blew in the cave and the musty air blew into my nose. I tried to hold it in but it was too much to resist. ACHOOOO!!! Ben glared at me with big fiery eyes. I knew I was totally in for it. We thought the giant monster didn't hear a thing so we started talking and running out of the cave. I turned my head around and glanced behind my shoulder. That was when I screamed I saw it the big, hairy, hungry thing running towards us like a speeding train. Ben and I ran our fastest. We saw the light from outside. "We are going to make it," I thought. I felt the monsters breath on my back and ran even faster. Then its sharp hairy hand touched my back and began to pick me up, I screamed as loud as I could. I couldn't see Ben anywhere. I was headed straight for the monsters big, wet mouth when, SHABAM!!!!! Everything went white and I drifted into a deep, deep sleep.
I saw a huge plasma TV sitting on this rock. When I looked closely at what was playing on the TV and it had the Packer Patriot game on. It was the 2nd quarter when it all went wrong Packers fumbled and lost the ball to the Patriots. Then it was 1 down for the Patriots when they scored on the Packers and made it 21 to 0, Packers were getting crushed by the Patriots. Later in the 3rd quarter the Patriots got the ball again from a turnover from the Packers the Patriots scored again making it 28 to 0. Still the Packers fought on in the 4th quarter but still didn’t score at all so that was that. The Packers lost to the Patriots. All of a sudden the TV turns off by it self and a big gust comes from the other end of the cave. I run towards it and I see a tunnel a big tunnel in front of me. I keep going and I come running on to a field in the middle a Packers logo was. I was so excited a football hit me it the head and I fell and fainted. When I woke up I was in a Hospital lying on a bed. At my side were Bret Farve and Tom Brady they asked if I was ok and I said yea I’m fine. When I was done healing up on my head from the foot ball I went home with Tom’s and Bret’s jersey to show my mom and dad.
We saw a golden statue we thought it was a mummy case so we went over by it and opened it nothing was there. So we went to look around some more there were all sorts of different rooms that had golden mummy cases. We didn’t dare to open some of them because it smelled sort of suspicious. Most of the cases didn’t have anything in them. All of a sudden we herd something drop we looked back it was only someone who dropped a quarter. That someone was a mummy we didn’t believe it so we unwrapped it and it was just our teacher. Then all of a sudden the lights turned on and we were only at a museum.
I quickly grabed trying to find some of my friends but they all had ran away. Where I thought? They had to be somewhere. I started to move backwards when I felt something it was my friends I felt a sigh of relief. That didn't mean the thing with two big eyes staring right at me wasn't there. We weren't sure what to do so we said ok we wont do any thing to whatever you are and then you don't do anything to us like eat us. The thing didn't say a word. Everyone just stood there in silence. Later the thing came closer we kept backing out and finally my friend whispered on the count of three we all are going to run. Listen one more thing do not be late on counting because then the thig will eat you alive. So they counted 1...2.....3 they started sprinting off faster and faster they ran dodging the big bolders. The thing tripped on a bolder. Crash! Bang! BOOM! it went. The kids never went there again and never saw the thing.

It was a chamber for 1950 through 1970 basketball all-stars. I started walking around. The first room I came to was a room honoring Wilt Chamberlin when he scored 100 points. There was a fountain shaped like a 100, and there was a scoring record medallion. What a find! Then I entered a chamber honoring Oscor Robertson's triple double average for his first five seasons. It was amazing! I went through some more chambers that were amazing. Then I came to an amazing chamber. It was full of NBA championship Trophys. There was 8 trophys won through 1958-1966. Then I knew what it was. It was showing the power of the Celtics who won 8 championships in a row. Then I walked through a long corridor. There was a giant door. I tried getting in but it said I had to answer a question. It asked "In 1955 who was the rebond leader and who did he play for?" I knew it! I answered Harry Gallatin and he played for New York. Suddenly the doors swung open. It was amazing there was all the NBA all-stars from 1950 through 1970. They let me play and allowed me to live with them. I lived with them my whole life.
We screamed in horror we couldn’t believe our eyes. I started to run and told Isabel to follow and we ran for our lives as fast as we could. We tried to find our way out in a huge hurry but could not find it, finally (the thing still chasing us) we saw a glimpse of light we just headed for it but it just came to a huge dark hole we fell in. The thing jumped in after us we again screamed "mommy daddy!" It teeth were huge and pointy and brown with blood dripping off them. it was huge it was ready to plunge its teeth into us when suddenly I woke up screaming and my mom and dad came rushing into my room and they told me it wasn’t real and I slept on the couch with my mom!

My friend let out a shriek and took off running. Then the big thing in the distance started running as fast as it could. As it came closer to us we could make out that it had fur and his eyes weren't on his face they were on his arms. He had way more than two eyes he had 10 on each arm. His fur was Bright Orange and he had a tail that was really really long. Once it caught up to us it picked us up and said there was nothing to be afraid of. He said his name was Jimmy and he just wanted to ask them for directions how to get out of the cave. We said that if he would go out of the cave that alot of people would probably be really really scared of him. The police would probably think he would be dangerous to people and shoot him with a tazer gun. Then Jimmy said that he would probably stay in this cave then. Anyway they were glad that they weren't hurt at all.

…There it was-a big huge monster with seven heads. It must have thought it were a king, because he wore ten crowns. He had huge, dirty yellow teeth-I’ll bet he sharpened them every night. What a scary sight to see. He had a big pointy nose and had evil words written all over it. He had drool hanging all over his mouth. Snot was dripping out of his nose. He was covered with blond/red fur. He had the biggest mouth you could imagine. He growled at us. His big round eyes were staring straight at us. “I think we’re gonna be dinner!” one of us said. “Just eat me now!”
Turns out the beast just wanted to show us around his cave. It was really nice. He had a library full of every book you could think of (trust me, I asked!), a huge kitchen (he must cook a lot) and double king-sized be with a 48’ flat screen TV with a touch screen computer and phone!! It was amazing. Then he sat us down for a nice cup of hot chocolate (the best I’ve ever had) and some sugar snowman cookies nicely frosted. Those were good soon. Then we said that we had to get going, so he told us to come some time soon, and possibly bring him a good female monster with us!:)
And standing right in front of us was a statue of a Egyption god that looked as if it had a huge skeleton behind it. We walked behind the statue. There standing right in front of us was the tallest standing skeleton ever seen, and who knew that just that one body could change two people's lives forever. But just when the time was at the most exciting point the most dreadful thing happened, our smallest bit of light went out, and just that itty bitty bit of light till made a huge difference. Most of you would know, if you have ever been in a extremely dark cave before and your smallest bit of a light source goes out you can really realize what a difference it makes. I could not see any thing what-so-ever, and the only thing I could hear was my friend panting very hevily. then I suddenly realized that my friend was grasping my shirt very firm. Could this have been a signal from the god or skeleton?
... A giant dragon
Was staring right at them with ferocious blood-shot eyes. With its eyes gazing down upon them it looked like he had an appetite, and a big one. The dragon reared up on its hind quarters and got prepared to spit acid at us. The dragon spit acid out and we dodged it by hiding behind a rock. We looked at the rock; the top had been completely melted away. "Dodge that acid at all costs" I sad. “no duh, we'd be a puddle of liquid if we didn't." we turned around and dashed down the narrow cave passage. We ran until we could run no more. My friend was so exhausted he stopped to take a breath. "No! don't stop you'll" then the dragon reared up and and spit acid at my friend. He melted to the floor. I turned around and dashed for a way out, the dragon still chasing me. After a long and tiring sprint I saw a way out I dashed for the light. "Time to go to bed Jonathan" Jonathon’s mom called. Jonathon slowly closed the book," but MMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!! I was just getting to the good part. “Well the good part will just have to wait till tomorrow." Jonathon set the book on his night stand and went to sleep.
A bright light, with treasures beyond your imagination. There were rainbows flowing with gold. This beautiful sight, but the problem was that you could not get into the beautiful land. Even if you tried killing yourself just to take anther step, you still would not be able to get in the wonderful place. You could stand there for the rest of your life and still not get bored of the magnificent view. There were children everywhere. But the only question Sammy asked herself was, how did the children get into the glorious dream land. It was so magnificent, but Sammy remembered seeing the place somewhere. Then Sammy remembered that the place was her home and all her friends looked so calm. Sammy remembered what she had done last night and ran away from home. She decided to go home and say sorry to her mother for what she had done last night and her mom forgave her. THE END
What a great story Cindy. That story has a moral and the moral is the grass is never greener on the other side.
While walking in the cave, I brought a gift for my dad so I put it in my pocket so I wouldn't lose it. Then I saw a shadow at the next corner it was coming closer and closer all of a sudden we saw the grim reaper. We ran as hard as we could but the reaper was on our tail. Once as we came to the corner we stopped and leaned against the rocky wall and we felt a lose rock. We pushed it and it was a secret passage way so we went through it and there were a huge arcade center and a sport resturant. We ran quickly to play as many games as we could. After a hour and half we got hungry we had a large pepperoni pizza and a coke. They thought it was getting late so they found a way out of the arcade center. While walking in the cave again I heard something behind me and it was the grim reaper he didn't chase after us when we were running. Then we walked back and the reaper said, here is your gift you dropped. While walking through the cave I wasn't trying to hurt you, I was trying to give your gift back. So we understood what was going on and the reaper showed us the way out of the cave.

We saw a bear. It was very hairy. They fur was black. It had blood all over it. It was eating a rat. He had cubs. When we saw him, we new we couldn't run from him. We started to walk backwards very slowly. We thougt we were home free but the bear attacked us and we had no place to hide. They were very scared. They were trying to climb the cave walls but they found out someone was carry red berries. Then they thought that is why the bears were attacking us. We gave the bears the berries and walked away.
Suddenly a huge beast jumped out in front of us and we screamed for help. Knowbody came. We fell and crunched down in fear and only thinking about the worst possible thing that could happen. There on the cold, cave ground we sat crying and hoping we would make it. As dawn arrived we tried standing up. Our necks and legs were as stiff as a cold piece of meat. We solwly walked out of the cave that was thought to be our burial place. I led the way out but we were lost. I didn't know where we were. I tryed screaming for help but it was hopeless. It was over we thought. Hours later we heard sirens and we thought they were coming for us. As they drove buy all we could do was stand and cry. This was definatly the worst dream ever.

I ran like heck. It would catch me anyway but I still ran. I prayed to God that it would hit a rock or something, but it did not. I was dead meat. I tried taunting it. That did not work either. I was more scared than I had ever been before. It would act like it always did in my nightmare. It would gut me and i would die screaming. Then it would skin me and use my skin for clothes. Then, it captured me. I strugled hopelessly. I knew I was dead now. I hung limp and waited for it to gut and skin me. Then it did. I died slowly and painfully. It was a evil thing called Gisfusj. It is the king of the dead. Just wait for it to come after you...

Just as we became too frozen with fear to go on, we saw it. The thermal circulation divice on the holodeck was messed up. I called Lt. Melmore in engineering to assist me as I tried to at least to bring this now freezing program offline. It appeared that my training program locked up after we rerouted the power for a level 2 thermal diognostic. Matt (Lt. Melmore) was raceing through the caverns as he reported in, it appered the plasma relays were having trouble after the diognostic so we called in a on hand nova class specialist to fix the program. Now Phil Caser and I finally get to test this terrain in combat.
