Vacation Mania

I love to travel and I find that most people do as well. I've had some far reaching trips (China, Australia, Fiji, and Mexico) as well as some nearby trips (Minnesota, Chicago, camping). I've enjoyed a crazy road trip out west, adventure filled trips (whitewater rafting), and family vacations where things just kept going wrong (flat tires, sunburn, getting sick on the airplane). No matter where I travel and who I travel with, I have a great time and lots of memories to share! In your blog this week, tell about your most memorable vacation or trip ever.

My most memorial trip that I’ve taken is probably my trip to Yellow Stone National Park in Wyoming. My family and I have done so many fun things together that trip. First it came, the big road trip that took about 24 hours. Secondly we came, the beautiful cabin that we stayed in. (All made up of wood.) Third the sites that we saw were so amazing I got tired of looking at them. Fourth the thing that I loved the best was white water rafting. After all of that fun my family and I went horseback riding. (My horse was named Suzie cue.) And the last things that I did on my trip were buy a pair of cowboy boots and say goodbye, and leave for home. (Sad-day!)

Two years ago we went on a trip to Cobo San Luckas! It was at the end of Spring break for my brothers birthday. It was just for a few nights. We got there around noon then we went to check into the hotel and
then to lunch. After lunch we went down to the pool. Then we decided to go to the ocean. The waves had to be at least ten feet tall. My dad told me and my brother to just stand by the shore while he went swimming out deep. All of sudden my mom came down. Then we see my dad coming out of the ocean crawling! He said to my mom “I think I broke my ankle!” It turns out he broke his leg! So the next day we flew out to Denver because that’s the only flight we could get! It just so happen that we have family in Denver Co, So he had the surgery there and we got to see our cousins! When my dad broke his leg, it was on my brothers birthday otherwise known as FRIDAR THE 13th!

The most memoriable trip I had would be going to Lake Tahoe, California. We drove there and it took four days to get there. When we got there we stayed there for a month! We went on a gondala. And one of the cities was named Heavenlt. And on the way there and back we say Mount Rushmore, the blackhills, and went to the hot springs in Wyoming. I loved that trip and I was sad when we had to leave.

I went to Arizona to visit my cousins. This is my first plane trip that I remember. I had a lot of emotions when I first got on the plane. I was so excited to see my Aunt Jenny. Her pool is awesome. I could have swum forever. I swam with my cousins, Sam and Logan. I had fun playing with each other. I climbed a mountain, saw the Arizona Diamondbacks game and went to the Grand Canyon. My dad and I walked a long ways down. It was hard climbing back up. We saw Indian drawings. I had a really fun trip and I will never forget it.

My most memorable vacation was when I went to Florida. We decided on Wednesday we were going to dive down with my best friend and his mom and sister. We left two days later! We drove straight through the night and got there at 6:00 pm the next night. We watched movies all the way. We went to the beach every day. There was a shark warning one day when we were at the beach, so we couldn’t go into the water. There was tons of little fish washed up on the shore. There were several puffer fish, a barracuda, and these other really big fish. We played in the water and played tennis all day. We went on a pirate sunset cruise and we saw a lot of sharks. We slept in the condo and always ate out. There were a lot of people at the beach everyday. We were always having fun. When we drove home there were no good bathrooms. It was still fun getting to sleep while your parents had to stay up and drive home.

My most memorial trip was when my family went Captiva Island, which is located off the southwest coast of Florida. We left at 7:00am in the morning and got there at 11:00am. We had to wait for 5 Hours to get in our room because of the housekeeping. We had so much fun though. We had our own swimming pool and went to the beach a lot. There were a bunch of great restraints and a lot of fun activities. My Mom and I went kayaking. Another great thing about this trip was that Bryka’s family was staying on the same island and at the same resort! It was so much fun to have a friend there with me! That was my most memorial trip

My most memorable vacation was when I went to Chicago to see my uncle at boot camp. We went to the shed aquarium and saw the killer train and he gave us a tour of Chicago. We went shopping and I got a navy t shirt. I saw two young boys when we went on the trolley and one had a sign that said I need to feed me and my brother and it made me so sad. I hoped we could stay longer but my uncle had to go back to boot camp soon. We took the train home and said good bye and that was my most memorable vacation.

This summer I got to go to Green Bay for our family vacation. We got to go to a Packer practice and stay at a very nice hotel. This hotel also had a pool. We went to a place called Bay Beach which had a lots of rides and it was also on Lake Michigan. After that we went to a Go-Kart track and I won all of the races. At our Hotel we had a buffet which was really nice. The people at the Hotel who were serving the food were really nice. This experience was a lot of fun and I can’t wait until the next time we go on our family vacation.

My most memorable vacation was when I went to Florida with my cousins in 2003 when I was 5. We stayed in Florida for a week over Easter and went to Disney world almost every day. One of the days I remember because we went to a water park called Typhoon Lagoon. There were all sorts of things to do but one of the things was you could swim with sharks and my cousin, Ryan who is 2 months older than me did it with my brother and his older brother. When they started swimming with the sharks Ryan got a bloody nose and had to be taken out right away. Another day when we were at Disney world there was a wishing fountain and all the kids got a penny but because Ryan wanted to keep it and he didn’t have any pockets he swallowed the penny. I must say I had a lot of fun and I will never forget going to Florida with my cousins.

My most memorable vacation was probably going to Florida in 2008. We go to Florida every year but this year was the best because we went to MGM Studios and they had some awesome rides there. We also went to Marco Island and stayed at the Eagle's Nest Hotel. We went to the cooles and larges outdoor mall I have ever been to. It was a big square with streets going up and down it, and at each intersection there was a fountain. We also ate at the Chancorry, an awesome restaurant. The best part was our second last day at Marco Island, we went to the Everglades on an airboat and saw hippos, alligators, and racoons. One of the best part was when our guide would throw fish on the boat and huge pelicans would come close enough so we could touch them. Our family was split apart on to two boats and we had a contest on who could get the most pelicans on their boat, our boat won, 7 to 5. Then we stayed on the beach and played racquetball and tennis the rest of the day.

I remember when my family and I went to Mexico. I had such a great time! We had a really nice room in our hotel called Extapa. The resort had probably around 10 pools just outside! While there I went surfing. Well, belly surfing. It was really fun even though I flipped like 5 times! I also lost my first tooth there too and got some Mexican Money! (I still have it) also made pottery there too! The plane trip was very fun too. I loved looking out the windows and looking out on the clouds. I had such a fun time in Mexico!

My most memorable vacation so far was this last spring break. My family went to Nashville Tennessee. We drove for 20 hours but before we got their we stayed overnight at the Hampton Hotel. Then the next morning we were on our way. We arrived at the coolest hotel ever. It is called the Gaylord hotel. It is the biggest hotel in the world and it has 7 floors and 5 pools, a water fall inside the hotel and a couple of restaurants and coffee shops. I love the Gaylord I wish I could go back to Tennessee again. We saw the Grand Ole Opry and did lots of fun and different things. Also shops to shop around in .

My favorite vacation is when I and my family drove to Seattle.

It was a long going to where we war headed luckily we stopped at this one cool place called Mount Rushmore it had four presidents faces on it and it took like 5 years to build it.
Then we stopped and rested at the crazy horse monument then we took a lot of pictures.

When we finally got to Seattle my brother dared me to try clams and I did then I ate every single one and till that day forward I will eat as many as I used to, so that is where I went for my vacation.

My favorite vacation was when I went to Disney World. When we were in the plane it was really boring so I just took a nap .When I, my dad, and my mom got there we went and pout our luggage in our hotel room. Then we went to one of the parks and had lots of fun. We almost went on all the rides in the first park, but my mom slowed use down because went to all the gift shops. My favorite rides were tower of terror, Mount Everest, Splash Mountain, and last but not least space mountain.

The most memorable trip I ever went on was the one to Florida when I was 9. It all started when we were going to see Grandpa and Grandma Hoppe down in Florida. When we were just about to go on a plane the plane was delayed for over an hour and a half because of a blizzard here in Milwaukee! When we were finally able to leave, we were so happy! When we were going to Kansas City (we had to go there first before going to Florida) I pulled out a puzzle magazine and started to work on it. After we left Kansas City we headed to Florida! I fell asleep on the way there. I woke up just before landing (I didn’t know I fell asleep) and we saw Grandpa and Grandma in the airport! We got in a rental car and drove to my grandparents’ house. I fell asleep on the way to their house, too. I was very sleepy. It was 3:00 a.m! When I woke up I found myself sleeping on a couch in their house! During our time in Florida I went golfing, swam in the ocean, saw manatees, went to the Daytona Racing Speed way, and relaxed. When it was time to head back to Wisconsin it seemed longer because I didn’t fall asleep.

The
End

P.S. Grandpa Hoppe is in the hospital. I don’t know why yet but I’ll pray that he will live

I haven’t ever been on any vacations but if I were to go on vacation I would go to Seattle. Or Santa Rosa California to see the Charles Schulz art museum. I would like to see the Space Needle and Frye art Galleries. But most of all I would go to the Seattle Seahawks stadium and get a Shaun Alexander jersey. Then I would go and see the Space Needle, I think it would really cool to see some parachuters jumping off of it. I also would like to see the Flying Heritage, which are restored WWII planes that perform in air shows all over the world.

My most memorable trip was when I went to California last year. We went to Aquarium The Pacific with giant spiky lobsters with legs about 2 and a half feet long, little cute sea horses, big eels with extremely sharp teeth, lots of jelly fish and flounders. I also touched some sea urchins and sea anemones that can’t sting. Outside of the aquarium there was a pool of sting rays with no stingers white spotted bamboo sharks and brown banded bamboo sharks and epaulette sharks and horse shoe crabs and zebra shark babies that you could pet. There was also Big white tipped reef sharks, adult zebra sharks, nurse sharks and sand tiger sharks. Then we fed lorikeets nectar. They were so cute. They were climbing all over me and fighting over the nectar. THAT WAS MY BEST TRIP EVER!!!!!!!

My favorite vacation was when I went on a Cruise with my family. We flew in an airplane from Milwaukee to Miami. Then we go on board of a huge ship. Just the sight of it made my stomach turn. I felt sick--it was sooooo big. We go on the ship and it began to move out. Dolphins followed the ship as we entered the ocean. The ship had all kinds of things to do on it. It had a game room, all different restaurants, a street in the middle which was filled with clothes stores and gift shops. There was even an ice cream spot, where you could go get icecream by yourself at any time. They had two pools. They were great, but they were filled with salt water. The salt water burned your eyes when you went under water. We also saw the rock climbing wall and we used the basketball courts and mini golf. It was a 7 day cruise and there was never a dull moment. It was the BEST trip ever!

My most memorable trip was to Washington D.C. The week we went there it was very hot (at least 100 degrees) except in our hotel. We went to see places where the Confederates fought the Union and a museum with guns, bullets, cannons and all sorts of things. We bought a CD to listen to and follow where it said to go and we got to see the Antietam Bridge and the cornfield and the church where they fought at. We saw the Washington Memorial and the Whitehouse. We went to a money factory did a tour and got to see $1,000,000 in one dollar bills. We saw them print the money and that was cool. The funniest part on this trip was while we were at the money factory we saw a lady look up at us and not check the money for any mistakes. The week after we left the weather turned cooler (can you believe it!).

My most memorable vacation was this past summer when my family and the whole Barelmann family went camping at Long Lake in Wisconsin. We went swimming and there was a trail to the lake which you were supposed to walk on. But me and my two cousins rode our bikes instead. There were stairs and steep hills and at the end of one big hill, I wiped out and got many bruises. My cousins laughed. I also took a trail I wasn't supposed to and my cousins were paniced when they couldn't find me and all the while I was back at the campsite waiting for them. Everyone was mad at me. My favorite part of camping was the Happy Hour where we would eat lots of food and the campfire stories about when my mom, aunts and uncles where little. Boy, did I learn alot on that vacation.

My most memorable vacation was when I was seven and my family went to Appleton to visit my great-grandmother and celebrate my cousin's birthday. First, we all went to lunch and them we met at an arcade that had indoor laser tag. My brother and I were on a team with my Uncle D.J. and we played against my two cousins. The first game we lost, but the second game we won. We had a lot of fun playing laser tag. Then we all went to the arcade to play video games for awhile. Finally, it was time to drive back home. After all the fun we had the drive home seemed like it took forever.
