Role Models

Role models are people who live their life in a certain way that makes others want to live their lives to accomplish excellent or praiseworthy things. Think of a famous person (dead or alive) who you consider to be a role model and tell why you look up to that person and what makes him/her special.

My role model is my mom. She tries to do the best for us and does it with all her heart. I think she treats everyone farley and tries not to leave anyone out. Another thing that is cool about my mom is that she lets us make mistakes, because that is one of the best ways to learn. She takes us to fun places and lets us do fun things. She takes lots of sacrifices for us to do some fun things with us. The most important thing about my mom is that she loves me and that’s why I want to be like her.

My role models would be my parents and grand parents. They would be my role models because, they are the people who have given you your history and your background. They also are my role models because, you know them very well so that way you know that they are someone you can trust and look up to. My parents and grand parents are also by insperations because they are the people who love me, care for me, and help me when I am going though tough times. I know that my parents and grand parents are people that I can look up to because i have known them so long and over the years I have learned to trust them and to love them and care for them just like they have done for me.

I think my role model is probably Wayne Gretzky not only is he a great hockey player he also a Canadian. He played for many teams including Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and the St. Louis Blues. Then he retired and became a coach for the Phoenix Coyotes. Guess you could say he is a role model to me because I want to be an NHL player some day and a coach. After I get into the NHL I would work my hardest and try to win the Stanly Cup. That is just a few reasons I think Wayne Gretzky is my role model.

I think that my “famous” role model would probably be Kerri Walsh. She is a beach volleyball player who won ninety-one matches and 16 tournaments in a row, not losing a game along with her partner Misty May. They also went to the Olympics in 2004 and won gold. She is my role model because she is a really good volleyball player and she is also really tall. Someday I’d maybe like to go to the Olympics to play beach volleyball. I highly doubt it will happen though, hee, hee! She is also able to play this sport, even though she is in her 30’s. That is just a couple of reasons I like Kerri Walsh!

I don’t really know any famous people. So I want to write about God and have him be my role model, because he’s perfect, as in he never sins. He also is always there for you. He is the one who made me. God created the whole wide world. He gave us his one and only son Jesus. He sent Jesus to this world to teach the disciples about him and God so the disciples could preach the good news to all creation. Jesus also died on the cross to forgive all of our sins. We also get to go to heaven if we believe in him. So in my eyes God is my famous idol who I would like to be like.

My role model isn’t famous, but he is to me, he is my dad. I look up to my dad because he is funny, and likes to do the same things as me! I love watching basketball on TV with him, and he always makes me laugh. Last night, I was upset about something and I looked at the front door, and there he was making funny faces at me, behind my moms back, and all of a sudden, I forgot my sadness, and started cracking up. My dad has the biggest sense of humor, even out of the bad things in life, he always has time for a joke. My dad is always there to help, whether it’s with sports, or even if its homework, he's always there. I love my parents very, very, very much, because they make so many sacrifices to me, and that is just the greatest thing. I want to be like my dad when I grow up!

I have many role models, but my favorite famous role model is Libby Riddles. She is a teenager who raced across Alaska in the Iditarod (a sled dog race going from Anchorage to Nome) with only a pack of dogs, a sled, and the few supplies needed. She shows inspiration, because she was the first female to win the Iditarod in the year of 1985. Libby isn’t bragging about how she won that important race. She is telling people that if you try your best at something, you have a chance to succeed. God gives each of us special talents to use, so we should use them to His glory and have fun doing it, too. All in all, Libby Riddles has taught me a good lesson on being very positive.

My role model is President Abraham Lincoln. He is a good role model because he was truthful. He was honored by many people. He stopped the Civil War. He wanted to stop the war. He had told the South that they could keep the slaves although he didn’t feel it was right. He believed that every man should be free like it says in the Declaration of Independence. He wasn’t brought up rich. He had to learn to take care of himself. This was a great life practice that we all should learn. I think he was one of the best Presidents the United States has had. He didn’t deserve to be shot or persecuted. We should all respect what he did for our country.

Another one I missed last year. Jesus would have to be my role model (he's actually probley everyone elses too) but if that doesn't count. I'd say king Hezikiah from the old testiment from the book of 2 kings chapters 18-21. He's someone I can learn from, all his mistakes, the way he asked God for help when the asyrian field commander insulted God. When Hezikiah was sick, God told him he was going to die, but he prayed to God and God added about 20 years to his life. That's why I really like Hezikiah if I couldn't choose Jesus.

P.S. If I could only invite any five people (dead or alive) to dinner I would invite Jesus, Hezikiah, Troy Walters (Airizona Cardnals punt returner used to play for the Colts), my grandpa from my mom's side (he died in 1991), and Paul the apostle.

My role model would be Marten Luther King /jr.because he had a dream that people from every race could get along and live together. He didnt just have a dream, he had a mission to change the world peacefully. I liked him for my role model because I think everyone should stop fighting wars and find a better way to work things out. I know that God would want this for us as well.

My role model is not famous. My role model is Lauren Croteau. She is somewhat related to me but not really. When my parents and I lived in Massachusetts the Croteaus were our next door neighbors. Lauren was a bit older than I was but we still had fun playing together. After we moved to Wisconsin we never stopped missing them. Since we have moved we have gone to visit about 5 or 6 times. Almost every time we have gone back to see them. They are like family to us. Lauren is my role model because she loves to run. Which is one thing that both of us share. She is a great runner and I would definitely want to be as good a runner as she is one day. Another reason why she is my role model is because she is an animal lover, just like I am. The last reason why I picked Lauren for my role model is because she is kind. She is soooooooooo nice to me and understands me so well. She also likes me for who I am. I hope I can grow up to be just like Lauren when I grow up.

Most people know my role model but I will tell you anyway. My role model is Dwayne Wade. Dwayne Wade is a great role model. He has so many great qualitys. His first great quality is that he is very humble. Even if he scores fifty points he does not talk about how well he did, he talks about how well other teamates do. His coaches and teamates even say he is one of the best teamates ever. They also say he gives them compliments when he does something great. His second quality is that he pushes himself to what he needs to do. In college he could not play basketball at Marquette his freshmen year because he had very bad grades. So his next year he tried his hardest to keep his grades up. It worked! He had good enough grades to play basketball. When he was drafted everyone was talking about Carmello Anthony and Lebron James. Dwayne Wade worked hard and now he is a NBA champ and neither Lebron James or Carmello Anthony have become a NBA champ.
His last great feature is that he is a great christian. He believes in God and preaches about it.His salary is millions of dollars but he gives 10 percent of his salary to his chuch in Chicago. This will probably help christians because people hear that he is a christian so they try going to church because they know that Dwayne Wade is a good person and he is a person you can trust. This is why Dwayne Wade is my role model. Pat Riley the coach of Dwaynes Wade's team the Miami Heat said that he is a great role model for every kid.

My role models are my parents. My role models are my parents because they teach me all that I need to know like my manners, they taught me how to take things seriously in school, how to be proud of my accomplishments, and that I should set some goals for collage. They are also great role models because I see what they do in everyday life and I know that I want to be just like them. Also my parents are awesome role models are because they let my brother and I make alot of choices like what sports we want to be in. Another reason why my parents are great role models are because they are great Lutherans and take us to church. They also send me to a Lutheran school and encourage me to learn about God.

My role model is Payton Manning. I want to be a quarter back. He has a really good work ethic. He comes from a family who knows what it take to be the best quarter back. I also like the way present himself as a good person. You never hear about him taking drugs or getting into trouble. Also, he seems like he would be a teammate. You want people on your team that will work as hard as you do. Payton Manning will also help you bring your game to the next level. Since he is so good, he will make you that much better.

My role model would be me. Just kidding! I look up to a lot of people. I say my real role model is Randy Moss! Just kidding again. That would be scary if it was. My role model is Dwayne Wade. He is amazing at basketball and he has a good attitude, unlike some (Terrel Owens!). He is also a Christian and donates a ton to his church. He is my role model because he speaks out in what he believes. Overall, he is an amazing person with an amaing personality. That is why he is my role model.

P.S. I feel sorry for anyone who's role model is Terrel Owens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Well, I would have to say that my role model is my big brother Justin, because he is always there for me in everything and when something bad happen he helps me through it all. even though he did some pretty bad things in his life it dose not mean he is a bad person and naughty role model it then means he knows what was wrong and that he already learned from those mistakes and can tell me what not to do, so that actually kind of makes him a better role model! That is some reasons that I love my bro and why he’s an awesome role model for me!!!!!!!!!

My role model is my parents. My parents work really hard at making my life good. They have taught me alot. From tying my shoes to how to use money properly. I leared more to give than to take. If I make a mistake I know that they can teach me from them. They take me and my family to fun places. Also if I have friend problems or a bad day I am perfectly comfortable with going to them and asking them for advice because I know they will always give me good advice. Those are my role models.

My role model is my horse trainer, Alex. She is great at riding! I definitely want to be like her. She has thought me alot and I appreciate everything she does. She may know alot more than me, but I plan to learn alot more from her. She cares most about her family but then comes her horses. She could care less about anything for her horses. She cares a lot about me and that I keep up the good riding. I take all her advice about horses and hope they will help me in the future. I hope that my kids will be able to learn a lot from me. But that would not be possible if it weren’t for Alex, my horse trainer.

My role model isn't famous but it is my Grandpa Helm. He always has time to think of a joke or make me laugh at things that wouldn't make other people laugh. He always loves being outside or with family. He saves everything, but that is not why he is my role model. He loves sitting around a campfire and singing and laughing just as I do. He really likes taking care of nature yet he still catches animals in traps. That is pretty cool. the favorite thing about my Grandpa and why he is my role model is because he is a good Christian man who I really look up to.

He donated 1.4 million dollars to the college where he went.It is in Californa. thats where he went to film school.he is very creative plus he helps people with all his money. He doesn't just think of himself. He also thinks of others who started out with no money just like him.Now he has enough money to own land the size of Texas! I want to be creative like him.

My favorite role model is Pele because he is a soccer player and one of his favorite phases is "It seems that God brought me to Earth with a mission to play soccer,” that means a lot to me because I want to be as good as him when I grow up. I also admirer him because he loves to teach other kids to this day to become as good as him in soccer and to teach them character and sports man ship. At the 1970 finals in Mexico, Pele when he was 29 led one of the greatest teams ever assembled to win Brazil's third World Cup. In the 4-1 title triumph over Italy, Pelé scored a glorious goal. It was Brazil's 100th World Cup goal, and the one he remembers the most. Pelé's statistics are staggering. During his career he scored 1,280 goals in 1,360 games, second only to another Brazilian, Arthur Friedenreich, who recorded 1,329 goals. He scored an average of a goal in every international game he played--the equivalent of a baseball player's hitting a home run in every World Series game over 15 years. Another reason I admire Pele is when he did all those goals it makes me want to try harder to get more than him and to try harder in soccer. When Pele retired from the game in 1974, but came out of retirement the following year to play in the North American Soccer League for the New York Cosmos for just over two seasons. A reported 7-million-dollar contract for three years made him the highest paid soccer player of the North American Soccer League. All this information that I just gave you on how he is a role model for me and all his great accomplishments for me should make you want to get interested in what else he did.

Well let’s see that is a hard question. I guess I would have to say it is rickie weeks. Because he plays baseball and I love baseball. He is a good player on and off the field. He does not brag about what he does. He also is a good player he always plays his hardest and he never gives up. He also donates money to the poor and the homeless. He always says positive things and supports his friends. Rickie weeks is a good dad and he loves his children. This is why Rickie Weeks is my role model some day I hope to be like him.

Here we go the reason my dad is my role model is he helps me with some of my homework. He also helps me with my aim so I can hit the bull’s eye or close to the bulls eye every time. He tells me about all the incredible deer he’s seen. He also shows the pictures of deer from the camera he puts in the woods. He also teaches me lots of other useful things. That’s why he’s my role model.
