Would you rather be stranded in the Arctic or in a Desert? Considering the location, what one survival tool (THAT COULD FIT IN A BACKPACK)would be the most beneficial?

If I would be strended on a desert or artic desert i would choose and artic. The thing i would put in my backpack would be a pistal with a two inch scope. Why I pick that? So if I would get hungry I could shoot a polar bear or other anamal. Another reason would be that you could build a snow fort or igloo. Another reason would be that I could see pengiuns. Penguins are cool. A Forth Reason would be that if you got thirsty you would have snow all around you. You could just take a chunck of snow and eat it.
If i would have to be stranded i would pick the desert and i would take a nife.I would use it to stab lizards and other things i could eat.I would get my water from cacticies.How i would get it i would stab it in it then drink it.I would probaly live in the mountains or some where else.I would use my backpack a sortof a trap to get the animals.I would get sort of a pet like a snake unless it wold bite me then i might die.LOL that woudnt be a good pet not realy tho.Thats how i would live in the desert.
I would be in the Artic,because I would rather be freezing then sweating a lot. ( I hate Sweat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a lot) The tool would be a an all terrain veichel. NOT!!!!!! Because it has to fit in a back pack then it would be a revolvar with a lot of amunition. Then (I'm going with Brett) I could shoot a polar bear for food whenever needed. Oh yeah for food I could also swap a few pengiun eggs when they where not looking. Now if I could have that big all terrain truck I would be able to get around easily. (the heater feature would come in handy all the time) the truck would be stocked full of food. THE END
If I were to choose where I would be stranded it would be the Artic because I hate the heat! Also because I could build an igloo or something like a fort. I would name it Fort Wilcox. Also while I am there I could hunt polar bears and seals with my 12 gauge. I just thought about this. I could make my Fort Wilcox a city or even a country. Where all the buildings are made of ice and the supply of ice never really ends. I would bring one thing for sure and that is a 12 gauge. If I could bring more it would be a Swiss Army knife, food,canteen, blankets and a lantern and most importantly a bible also a digital camera to take pictures of penguins. And that is what I would do.

If I saw a penguin I would shoot it and collect enough fur to make a coat. I could take the meat and eat it. I would take the snow and melt it to water and drink it. I could take a stick and carve blocks and make a fort. I would take fur to cover the inside walls and the ceiling. That is what I would do if I was stranded in the Artic with no humans for 100's of miles.

I think it is easier to layer my clothes then keep taking off jackets and putting on lighter and lighter tops. In the artic there is snow so you can melt it for water. In my backpack I would bring a couple coats, food, and matches, wood, and a shovel. The matches and wood so I could make a fire. The shovel so I could dig a whole in the ground and be warmer and for cover. That is why I would pick the artic.

Definitly a dersert i mean that makes it so much easier my ultumite survivel tool in the desert (drum roll please) a bottle, no tons of bottles of water and some small ration packs and of course light clothes with these and my packpack i could probley take on a lot i mean water is so important and i could be some sort of nomad with out one single place to stay that is how i could survive (or if i did not have a ration pack or food i could use a auto seeking shotgun with amo then i could do some stuff) and if you could i would love a nice hummer with a bulit in GPS and air conditoning now that would rock just drive right over it oh and well i'm at it how about a proton torpedo lancher and a replicater and a whole star ship (fine forget it) but still water and wepons i thind are the tools to basic survivel in the desert.

I would pick the Artic. I would bring a shot gun, GPS, and a Gameboy SP. I would bring these because: with the shotgun I could shoot polar bears and seals, with the GPS I couldn't get lost easily, (I think GPS's are the best) I would bring the SP because it would be fun. I would throw snowballs at the peguins and ride the polar bears. I would set traps by dipping deep holes and put polar bear skin over it. I would have a speical igloo for melting water right next to my igloo. I would have polar bear skins for blankets. Also, after every day, I would lay in my bed, playin gameboy, and listening to the sounds of the great Artic.
