Veterans

Today we celebrated Veteran's Day by singing songs, hearing quotes from dedicated Americans and taking a moment to pray for our country. Share your thoughts about the freedom that we have as Americans, the sacrifice that was given by our veterans, or any other patriotic topic.

I think the Verterans Day program was great. I could tell they liked it and also I enjoyed it. When We were singing American tears Some of the Veterans were crying. I am pretty sure it was because of what they all did for this county!!!!! Also it could have been for them knowing people who died in war. When I saw them crying my eyes started to get watery and I was smiling for what we were doing for them. After the program Mr. Eberhart came and said "Thank you" for what we did. veterans came up to him and said this was the 2nd year in a row that this school was their favorite program. I was happy to hear that! So thank tou again Veterans!!! BYE

I really appreciated the sacrifices the soldiers made in order to save or country. They were really brave and weren’t scared of anything. It would be very hard to leave your home and family and friends you have with the thought that you may never return to see them again. The soldiers aren’t the only people who have to be strong. The family also has to be very strong together as a family and as a single person. I think that what are school does for the veterans that come to are school really show haw we are appreciate of there sacrifices.

i agree with dana on this, it would be very hard to leave your family behind and go off to war. i am very glad that all the people in iraq are over there fighting for our country to save all of us. they all are very generous, couragous, and brave people. i do not think i could ever be that brave and daring to do something like that ever in my whole entire life. i am very glad that they are helping iraq to have a good government. i love to support our troops and you should too. that is what i think about the war is iraq.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE END

I think the Veterans Day program was really great. I think the veterans really liked it alot.
I think their is alot of things we should be thankful for because of our freedom. Our freedom of speech. Most of all are freedom of religon. God has given this country many blessings. Unfortunatly it has cost the lives of many men and women, through the years. Today in this country, some people don't believe in God and don't want to see the war. Nobody wants to see war and death. This country needs to defend itself from terrorists and must help others in need. We must never forget what the veterans have done for us.

My grandpa Kohlwey was a veteran from World War 2. He served in the army and was stationed in New Guinea. While in New Guinea, serving our country, he was shot in the arm. This wound was very serious. He had to be carried out from the jungle on a stretcher. He was shipped to Australia to recover from his wounds. He never saw any action once he recovered. He won a purple heart for his action in New Guinea. My grandfather never liked talking about the war. I think it is awesome that he was a veteran and fought for others including me and my family.

When we did the program I think that the veterans were happy for what we were doing. I also think that they happy for what they did for the country. I think it must have been hard for them if they lost friends or family, but I am proud of them for freeing our country. When I grow up I might join the army because I can help my country in every way I can. I also might want to join the army because that is a way to make me proud of myself and others. That is whyI am proud of the veterans.

I think it was an alsome program. I think its so cool that the Vet. came I was happy to see new people there. I think its so cool that thoes poeple died, are almost died for all of America. I'm so thankful that they did what they had to do to fight for our country. I'm also thankful that God had his hand over us and helped us get though the rough times then and the rough times still to come. I'm so glad that we have a Vet. day at your school, because our whole school gets to say thank you.

The Veterans day program was a wonderful idea. I think its a great way to say thank you. The Veterans who have helped our country deserve it. The Veterans were very brave and made many sacrifices to make our world what it is today. I think Veterans day should be weekly because we cant say thank you enough to those that risked there lives to make our country what it is today and save us from becoming overrun by evil.
i think thank you must be said whenever you see these veterans. we would not be what we are without the veterans that kept us out of danger and assisted others in there time of need.I say it again THANK YOU TO All THE VETERANS THANK YOU.

I really do not like war and ‘wish it never happened but I understand they do this for are freedom. It is sad to think how many soldiers have sacrificed their lives for us. The freedom was given to every one from the veterans help. It is a great thing to sacrifice and is very hard. I probably could not do this for the whole country like they do. During the songs I was glad to see all the veterans smile. They are very important to me. They have spent their time in the army for a long time. Thank you veterans. Thank you for everything.

I enjoyed the Veterans Day Program at school. Many of my great uncles were veterans. My family is very proud of them. They did many great things for this country. Right now I have some great great cousins that are serving in Iraq. I am lucky that so many people are willing to fight for our country and make it a safe place for us to live.* There were alot of veterans at the program. I thought that when some of the veterans had to leave they didn't. Mr. Eberhart said that when they go to programs they have to talk and at our school they don't do any talking they just listen to our thanks we give them! It felt great when some of them started crying because I felt that they really wanted to hear more and remembered all the people who died. Mabe they remember some of their relatives that died in the war and that is why they went there to take their place at being a hero!

I think that the Veterans Day program went great. I love tell the Veterains how much we are thankful for our freedom. I love it that we get the freedom to believe in anything we feel like. In Egypt I would not be able to believe in the one and only true God Jesus Christ.( Were specil people in a specil place). I also like doing the veterans program is because we get to tell them how much we apreacate them who gave us this freedom. I like it how we get to vote for our presidents(leaders) in other countries they don't get to vote they are eather next in line of the prist pick them. Well thats about it. I'm just glad that we have our freedom.

I think Veterans day is important because it reminds us of all the men and women who died for us to bring us out of war and into freedom.
