Write your own, creative answer to one of these questions. Your answer does not have to be the actual answer, just your opinion.

1) Why does everyone start yawning when they see another person yawn?

2) Why does 1 minute sometimes seem like an hour and 1 hour sometimes seem like a minute?

3) Why does it seem that you always get all of your homework on 1 night?

I am going to do number 2. My opinion of why it seems that time goes so fast is because you are usually having fun and not thinking about the time. " Time Flies when you having fun". I think that is true. I have two examples of why I think that. 1st one is once when I was at dance I kept looking at the clock to see how much longer I had to wait 'till I could FINALLY go home. It seemed like the clock was broken and only changed the time like every three minutes! (Time was going VERY slow when you’re not having fun/ or bored. The other example is that when I was at dance last week I was going over to my friend’s house, My friend and I kept looking at the clock because we were so excited for the clock to hit 7:00! Time went very fast then because we were excited and having fun. So that may be an answer to why one minute seems like an hour and an hour seems like one minute.

I pick number 2. I think that when 1 minute goes by it feels like an hour because you are so excited to get out or do something that you just can't wait. So you keep looking at the clock because you want to get out. For an example when ever I am in computers or music I can't wait until the bell goes off because I want to get to math because I am really hungry. So I look at the clock every 10-15 minutes to see if it is almost time to leave. And every time I look it seems that the clock doesn't move. Another example would be my sister is at a birthday party right now and it started at noon. And it is almost 12:50. It seemed that we just dropped her off like 10 minutes ago because I haven’t looked at the time since we dropped her off. The next thing you know she will be back from the birthday party in like 20 minutes. That is why I think an hour sometimes seems like a minute and a minute sometimes seems like an hour.

I am going to try to answer number 2. I think that and hour feels like a minute when you are having so much fun. You are having too much fun to pay attention to the time. When a minute feels like an hour is when you are excited for something to happen, and you are watching the clock and that’s all you are thinking about. Your mind is thinking faster then the time can run so you could have been thinking about a lot of things but not much time would have passed. Also when you are so bored, and you are waiting for something to come. When you are bored your time goes so slow, because you just are just sitting there and it feels like it has been hours. Also when an hour feels like a minute is when you are trying tall asleep and you are just laying in your bed trying to fall to sleep, because you know you have a big day tomorrow. Then you look at the clock and an hour has passed. So that’s my opinion. Thanks!

I will do question number two (Why does 1 minute sometimes seem like an hour and 1 hour sometimes seem like a minute?). When you wait for something it seems to take forever. If you are busy doing many things at the same time, your time to do those things seems short. When I was reading Frightful's Mountain, a book I liked, it seemed like I didn't read that long. When I read a boring book it seems like time is moving backwards. When I am camping, the last day seems like I just got there. That is why I think that one minute seems like a hour and a hour seems like one minute most of the time.

I picked question number three. I think that sometimes people think that it seems they get all their homework on one day is because a lot of people put off their homework until the night before it's due, unless they get homework some day and it's due the very next day. If it's due a week later, they might put it off because they think that they will have plenty of time to finish it. Plus they might have a lot of additional homework on that day and then have loads of homework. That is what I think about how people think they have all their homework in one night.

I am going with the one on when you get all of the home work in one night. I think it is because the teachers are evil and don't like us. Ha ha got ya not really, it is probebly because we have more than one teacher now so they don't know when the other teachers are giving home work. Another reason might be that if we are talking and talking and talking they will ponish us by giving us all of the evil home work and tests don't forget about the horrible tests.94 That is why I think we get home work all in the same night.

i added a 94 in there ops

I would pick number 2 because it is the one I like best! I think 1 minute sometimes seems like an hour because you are really bored! Everything seems long when you’re bored another reason might be because you are really exited to do something after school or on the weekend! I sometimes have those times! Also 1 hour seems like a minute because you are having so much fun and time flies bye! I hate when that happens because then it doesn't seem like a long period of time! It also might be because you are having a good day at school! Or you just went to sleep! It seems like you don't get any time to sleep!

I'm going to do number two. I would say because sometimes when you have to go somewhere that you don't want to go to it feels really long. And also when you get in trouble and someone is yelling at you time feels as if time is just standing still. But the weird thing is when your having fun our when your having fun with your friends and doing things you want to do time feels as if its moving so fast. I think it’s because when your having fun you want time to move slow so you may have fun. But when your not having fun you keep looking at the time to see if its moving any faster, but it doesn’t move faster at all we just feel like it is but really time never chances the speed and that’s what I think and that’s what I picked number two.

I am also going to do #2. The reason I think that it seemes to go so slow one minaute and the goes so fast another is because you are eather so looking forward and can't wait for it, or you are so board it seems like time goes so slow. I shall give you an example. If you are playing goaly and you are a head by one. You really looking for the game to end. But when doing something fun the tyme goes so fast.

Im doing the one where we get all of our homework on one night. I Think they(teachers) do that because they talk about it at lunch then give it all to us at lunch because they want us to not be happy. Sometimes i want the homework because i need the grade up but all on one night! Not happening. I hate when that happens i think they want to just end recess except miss miller because she plays 4 Square(to bad she gets out:( rite away). The teachers just stand there i think they should play basketball or socer or whatever we play then theyll have FUN!

I will chose to do question number two. I think a minute seems like an hour. It's because we are getting impatient and are worried about other things. Other times I think we just want to do something else that we will enjoy. Another reason I think this happens is because we are 100% Bored I think that sometimes when an hour feels like a minute. Is because what we are doing is fun and we enjoy doing what ever we are doing.
But who would of thought of a question like this. I mean Come on this is a completely random question.

I will go with number #4. I have reasons. First I think there are little cells in your hair that give your hair the color it is {I don’t know how}. Like a tree and its leaves. Later on in your life they die and stop giving your hair color. Without color your hair is white or gray. Some people will color their hair to block out the white. 2nd I think there are little creatures in your hair. They dump paint into your hair every day to give it its color. As you age they age to. Eventually they retire from dumping paint and your hair goes back to its original color, White. That’s my answer.

I would have to pick number 1 and i have a good explaination! People see someone yawning your brain gets a reaction. When someone else yawns it triggers your brain to look at the person and what they are doing and it makes you yawn. Why i think that is because you cant just look at someone and just have to yawn.No way your brain has something to do with it. Most people would probably pick number 2 but i wanted to be different so i picked number 1.This is why I picked number 1! This is the end!!!!!

I am doing Why does your hair turn grey when you get older?

This is my opinion. When you are born you get an amount of die. It depends on your genes what color it is. When your die runs out you start to get gray or white hair. I know this sounds weird because it does not happen to every one. If the die runs out early you get a huge bald spot on the top of your head or some times in the worst case senaryo there head is all bald. That does not happen to many people, so I would not worry about it. This is a blog from Kevin [Bowling King] Scholz.

I will do number three (why does it seem like you get all your homework on one night).I think some kids would say its cause the teachers don't like us. I think it's because the teachers know we'll get it done. I don't really mind getting ALOT of homework as long as I don't have any after school activities (basketball, baseball, or a tennis match). I think homework is fun sometimes (most kids wouldn't agree though).

This is my opinion.

It seems like when one person yawns
it makes you want to yawn because
it is the power of suggestion. It suggests your mind to do that so you think about it and you do it.I
think it is pretty funny when a bunch of people start to yawn because one person sees another person and then the next person starts to yawn and so on. When you yawn after seeing someone else
it is like a reaction to what that person just did. That is what I think.

I am going to do number three. I think that all the teachers have their schedules planned and that it is just a coincidence when we get a ton of homework all on one night. I've noticed that when I have a ton of homework that part of it is projects that I have procrastinated and have to do that night. I don't think that the teachers are out to get us because they are all nice. We don’t get that much homework and if we do it is easy. These are the reasons why I think we get all of our homework on one night.

Anonymous said...

I am going to talk about number two. I think that one minute seems like and hour because you are interested in the thing your talking about. Or when you’re having fun about what you are doing or learning about. Especially if you’re playing a game for a review in school. Like for a review for a test or quiz. A minute seems like and hour when you’re bored or when you have to sit for a couple of minutes learning about something you think is stupid or dumb. Then after a couple of boring minute lessons you have to go through more in school.

Anonymous said...

I am doing number three because I think it is a good question. I think that it feels like you get all the homework in one night is because It is usually when your busy and it seems that you just don't have enough time like tonight I have soft ball practice then I have to teach Tae Kwon - Do I have to go help my dad out at a boy scout meeting so even if I only get like 3 things of it might seem like 20 things of homework. But the only thing I know I have is the dust bowl report in English. But some times you do have a lot of homework!

I will do number 1 every one starts yawning because they want to be like the person yawning. Or because the second person yawning just gets tired suddenly. It seems wierd why people do that kind of stuff. Or because aleins are trying to take over the world by having people yawn and the more people they get to yawn the more power they get. You never know when someone will yawn and an Alien will take over the world. That is just a thought and will probably never come true. But you never know. Or do you. Creepy stuf happens when you yawn.

I would go with #2. I would say that everyone is tired so when they see someone else yawn they are tired and yawn with them.

I’m going to answer question number 2. I think that one minute seems like an hour when your are not enjoying yourself. You are not interested in it so that one minute seems like an hour. Time goes by so slowly because it seems so boring to you. When you want something to be over it can also seems like forever because you want to be done with the thing you do not like. I think that one hour can seem like a minute when you are enjoying yourself. When you are interested in it, the time goes by so quickly because you like what is being said or done.

Anonymous said...

2) Why does 1 minute sometimes seem like an hour and 1 hour sometimes seem like a minute?

I’m going to exlain this in the simplest way I can. If you have an interest in any thing you are doing, time will seem like it is going by very very fast but you don’t realize it is.(time flies) But if you bored out of your mind and you don’t have much of an interset in any thing it will seem like time is standing still.(a watch pot never boils) Those are expressions that explain those positions in many of peoples lives.

I will answer question number one. Why does a person yawn when they see another person yawn? I think when they see another person yawn it makes them think of their own energy and that makes them think they are tired, so they yawn. I don’t yawn all of the time when I see another person yawn, but when I do I think it’s because the energy in your own body and that makes you think that you are tired when you aren’t, so that’s why. It is an interesting question, though. That is why I think people yawn when other people yawn.

Anonymous said...

I think that people yawn when others yawn because they are tired and when they hear a yawn it just makes them feel tired and then they yawn. Get it? I learned before that a yawn is just lack of air to breath and so you yawn... when you are tired you yawn because you basicly forget to breath. I think people get grey hair when they are older because they stop getting the stuff it needs. They still take care of it, but it just loses it's perk. God (most likely) did the to show that you are getting old and that it is time to be worried about death, but what do I know? It's just a guess... and i don't know about the other questions you asked too. HNow come you asked questions that I can't answer... if only they were about cats! NO FAIR!

Met said...

I'm doing number 1. People yawn when they see other people do it because I think this is because the people think that you are tired and usally start thinking about the time it is and then they start to think wait I should be yawning too. So it keeps spreading like a disease or if you're on an airplane you want to yawn to get used to the pressure and everybody else does it automaticly or the same process happens in their mind. Or you just feel like doing it because everybody else is and so on and so forth.

exactly 101 words.

I think that your hair turns gray either because of the rain or because of the sun. The rain because it may wash all the color out with the drops. The sun because it may bring all the color out with the rays it gives off. It also may just because you are getting old and all the hair cells that keep your hair brown or black or maybe even red are all dying. But now with all the great technology we have now, we can bring back the color any day, any time. That is what I think about hairloss.

Anonymous said...

I am going to pick #3. I think it feels like you get all your homework on one day is because maybe the day before you didn’t have any homework at all. It is probably a shock that you got more home work than one other day. It also maybe your not using your time in class. But you know we always use are time. Yeah right. :) Or it just might be the teachers like making kids stay in. But what would be the chances of that. That is what I think it seems that you always get all of you home work on one night.

I’m doing number one… my opinion is When you see somebody else yawn it make u think if you’re tired or not. So its like saying to yourself should I yawn because I’m tired or I’m not going to because I got enough sleep last night so I’m not wasting time to do something that I don’t need to do because I got enough sleep last night so it is pointless to do something because I’m not tired because I got enough sleep and I don’t need to do to that stuff for something I don’t need to do because I got enough sleep so I don’t need to do your yawning because I got my sleep its is pointless to do that because I got enough sleep and I don’t need to do its because I have enough sleep and I don’t need to yawn because I’m tired because I’m not tired so I wouldn’t have to yawn but everybody yawns because everybody is tired so that’s why you would have to think that really long thought of you having enough sleep so you don’t have to yawn because you don’t need to because your not tired …Unless… I want to be annoying with a really loud and really long yawn to make people mad at me for pretending I didn’t get enough sleep so I can be annoying with something dumb… So it’s just if you’re tired or not…

Anonymous said...

that was really long for me... and a waste of 10 minutes...

Anonymous said...

I'm doing the minute, hour one. I think that when you're having fun time goes faster because, you don't realize what time it is. And you probably get caught up in the fun. Like Jessie said time flies when you're having fun. And a minute may seem like an hour also. I think this because, when you want something to happen soon. Time goes the same speed. It's just that you look at the clock or watch so much that it seems like it's going so slow. And this is why I think an hour may seem like a minute, and a minute may seem like an hour.

Meta Knight said...

i think people yawn when they see other people yawn because their brain detects it and you turn around and see the other person yawn and you see how much fun it is and you want to do it yourself, and then, sometimes you can't stop! Then, someone brain detects you yawning and they start yawning instently and can't help it. You try to stop, but you just can't and pretty soon the whole class is yawning and the teacher says "STOP YAWNING, YOU"RE DOING IT ON PURPOSE!!!!!" even though you are not and you have to yawn as quitly as you can until you're brain finally desides that you have done enough because you have so much air in you, so you breathe it all out and then you start laughing and then other people start laughing, and pretty soon, the whole 6th grade is laughing uncontrolable until you get into class and you try to hold your laugh in and it comes out as a yawn and the whole thing starts over again. By the way, I'm Johann.

Reogan said...

I know all the answers (though the experts and common sense may attempt to prove me wrong, I wouldn’t lie to you). Yawning is a disease from the flying hippos of North Dakota. It spreads as quickly as it takes for one of its victims to yawn, so it can infect those close by and cause them to yawn. It does this to cause all to feel sleepy and not do their required work so that the world falls into chaos. While many say that hours SEEM like minutes (and vice versa) it is really Time exchanging the time they use to cause you to wait so long for something that when it’s around you no longer enjoy it. This is to make you angry and a world of angry people will soon fall into chaos. Homework on one night is caused by the evil Procrastination. He is the master of boredom and causes homework to seem boring until it’s too late to do. With all the homework that you fail, you may become a hobo, and a world of hobos falls into chaos.
Hair turns grey because… ummmm… It … uh … feels like it? Yeah that’s it! * :<)* It’s true.
