Stranded

If your plane crashed and you were stranded for a minimum of 1 year, would you choose to be stranded in the arctic or in the tropics. Explain your choice and a bit of what you might do to survive.

I would defiantly choose to be in the tropics! I would choose the tropics because I think I could live longer there and I might get frost bite or be frozen to death. The tropics may be a little warm but it's a lot better than being freezing.
The first thing I would do after the plane crashed would be to look for anyone who is still alive like I would be. Next I would find items from the plane that would be useful for the things I needed. I need a place to be safe from bad things that could happen to me so I would find a big tree or something like that to make a shelter. Then I would try to find food and water because you can't live without those things. I also would find wood and other things for a fire to send a smoke signal up into the air. The smoke signal would hopefully make people see that someone was there.

I would choose to have my plain crash in the Arctic. I’m sure I would probablly freeze, but the plane might have blankets and pillows to keep me a little warm. If the plane was in good enough shape I would probabbly sleep in it so I could have a little shelter to keep me warm and safe. I would probabbly have my family with me and we brought some food along for where ever we were going. I would’nt have to worry about any food spoiling. My mom and I would work hard to keep our whole familys cloths clean so we could wear them every day along with therest of our whole familys lugage. I would absoulutly miss my friends and teachers. When I think about it, all of my pets at home would probablly dies. So if I ever leave, someone has to take care of them for me. My dad and brothers would go hunting to catch us an animal. We could make fire with the paperwork from the pilot and wood from the trees. We could use the bathroom on the plane.

I would defiantly choose to crash in the tropics! I would choose to crash there because when you do crash you would stay warm pretty much the whole time. Plus if you crash in a lake or a pond and the plane crashes you would be able to find big leaves to build a shelter with and you probably could find some vines to use as rope or string. And if the plane didn't crash in a pond and was still standing you could just use the plane as a shelter to keep you safe. And if you crash in the tropics you have a better chance of finding food and finding things to kill the prey with. That is why I would rather crash in the tropics.

If I would have to pick if I would have wanted to be stranded on a tropical island or in the artic, I would have wanted to be stranded on a tropical island. It would be really warm and you wouldn’t have to worry about freezing to death or getting frostbite and then having to amputate someone’s arm, or, legs etc. Even though you would have to worry about spiders or snakes I would still want to be stranded in the artic. I hate spiders and snakes, they just gross me out whenever I see one at my house or on the T.V. You could also find vines in the jungle and tie tree limbs together for a roof. It would be fun to swing on the vines like “ George of the jungle.” You would also get to catch fish in the ocean or rivers. I would get water from the rivers or ocean. Then I would boil the water over a fire to get all the germs and bacteria out. Making a fire would be very easy because, you would just have to get a couple of twigs and rub them together. Then you could just keep feeding the fire so it wouldn’t die out. Being stranded on an island would be fun and scary.

If my plane crashed I would like to be stranded in the artic, because I love the cold I love to play in the cold. I do not like to be that hot. The thing that I would do to survive is I would kill some animals like Wales and fish. I would have to live like an Eskimo. If there were any Eskimos there I would go and make friends with them then ask them if I could maybe live with them. I would try to build an igloo and a warm fire to survive. I would have to eat the walrus and use the fat to use for oil to make the fire and I would have to use it for the wood. I think it would be fun and scary at the same time I would really miss my family. Well maybe not my little brother. No I’m just joking!!! So that is why I want to be stranded in the artic.

If my plane crashed I would want it to crash in the tropics. In the tropics you would have a better chance of living. You would have all the food that grows in the trees and the milk in the coconuts as a liquid. You would also have little animals to kill so that you would have meat to eat. All the trees in the tropics would also provide me with shelter to protect me from rain and storms. I would also want to crash in the tropics because you would not freeze to death. In the tropics there could also be little villages filled with people.

If my plane crashed, I'd love to be stranded out in the tropics. ( Like Tarzan...haha) I really like warm places, and being by an ocean would be nice. Its beauty would make it even nicer, the white sands, the ocean, the palm trees...so pretty! To survive Id try to catch fish, or crabs and roast them over a fire. Id get the fire by using sticks or flint. Id sleep on the beach, with palm tree branches and tiny plane pillows as my bed. Thats where Id like to be stranded.

I would pick the tropics to be stranded on because there is always fruit there to eat that is healthy to eat and you will always be warm. If the airplane lands on its belly the airplane should not blow up then there will be hopefully some gas left to put air condoning on when it is very warm out. The airplane will protect you from big animals like maybe mountain lions. You might even have time out to rebuild the airplane with the warm air out to work in. When you are sick of fruit you could always go spear fishing unlike ice fishing where you have to make a hole then fish you could just swim and fish much easier.

I think that I would choose to be stranded in the arctic because I really do not like being hot and I would rather be cold. If you were stranded in the tropics and had no way to cool off or have something to keep you hydrated, you could easily die from heat stroke. But if you are in the arctic you could keep warm if you had warm clothes or if you had something to start a fire with such as matches it would be easy to keep alive. To stay alive first I would find shelter, next I would make a fire and find water to drink, next I would probably make a trap to catch small animals to eat.

If my plane crashed, I'd like it to be in the Tropics. I chose the Tropics because you wouldn't get Hyperthermya you know it is very warm. Another reason is that you can cook on a Tropic Island I saw it on a T.V. show. First you have to dig a hole in the sand, then get any food you would like to eat, like I would cook some fish from the ocean. Rap the fish in some leafs and tie it, then get big palm tree leafs rap that again and bury it. Let it sit for a couple hours, after the couple of hours are up the fish sould be done( To see if the fish is done the eyes on the fish would be popped out). The first thing I would do in survival is to build a tree hut for survival on the shore, Explore the Island to see where the fruit is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, To see if there is a small pond for fresh water but if thier isn't I would take some coconuts because it as the energy you need on a hot day if their isn't any fresh water. And for free time I would build a basketball hoop, the palm tree for the pole, the bamboo for the rim, a thin piece of wood for the backboard, and the last thing is the coconut for the ball. And theres your basketball hoop. The Tropics is a place for me.

I would like to be in the tropics
because I do not like the the cold It makes me stiff In the morning. I woud eat bananas and drink coconut milk a lot and monkeys would be my best friends. It would be very weird. I would get a sun burn very fast. I would get to go swimming in the ocean a lot. I would have to eat fish - yuck! I would be able to make my own tree house - that would be fun! I could find some pearls in some oystsers. But that wouldn't do me any good if I was stranded. I would eventually get off the island, that's a relief!

Even though I like cold weather, I would rather be stranded on a tropical island, because it would be easier to find things to help you stay alive. Also, you would freeze if you weren’t prepared and didn’t have warm enough clothes. I might look for any people living out there, although it wouldn’t be very likely. I would probably try to find wood to make a fishing spear with it (if a river or lake is nearby). I would also make a fire and at least try to cook the fish. With the wood, I would try to build a raft so I could try to paddle out into the ocean to look for help. For shelter, I would search for a hollow in a tree to sleep. I don’t know how realistic any of this is, but I would try!

I would like to stranded in the tropics. I think it would be easier to find food there. I could build stuff with the leaves and fish to get food. It would be hard but you would do what you needed. In the artic there would be less options and hard to survive with nothing around. I have seen survivor and man vs wild that I learned some tricks from them so I would survive.

I would choose the tropics to live in.

I would pick the tropic because the tropic is very worm.

I would pick the Arctic because I grew up in the cold and I think I'm used to it. I would first find a good place to find a shelter and then I would find some wood or something to burn. Next, I would cut a hole in the ice and start to ice fish. I like the Arctic because it would be a lot of fun to explore the area. I would want to find polar bears and use the skin for warmth and comfort. That is why I would want to be stranded in the very cold arctic.

If the airplane that I was flying in crashed I would want it to be somewhere warm not cold. One reason would be because of food. It would be a lot harder to find food to eat in the arctic than it would be in the tropics. In the tropics I could climb trees to pick bananas and coconuts. I could use the tree branches to build a shelter and make a fire to cook fish over. In the arctic, I wouldn't have anything to build a fire with, and I would have to build an igloo with the snow, and that would be too cold.
In the tropics I could swim and catch fish and shrimp. I could play with the monkeys in the trees. In the arctic I could fall in the ice and die trying to catch a fish, and I would have to hide from the polar bears. It would not be as much fun.

I am sure I would choose the tropical rainforest. If you were in the Antarctic you would die for sure. You have no chance in the cold, and if you can somehow avoid the cold there would be no food to eat. There is no food to eat because of the isolation in the Antarctic. There is barely any animals in the Antarctic. In the tropical rainforests there are dangerous animals, but you can actually avoid them and you can not avoid the cold. There is also plenty of food and water.

I would chose the tropics first of all because I do not like cold weather and this way you can't freeze. Also you can start a pretty easy fire with some would and it wouldn't take forever just to make a fire. You would also be able to find food easier and you would find water here. I could acually build a shelter if I really had to with some bark and leafs. That is why I would chose to be in the Tropics.

The End

Sorry It is late!
