What Do You Want on Your Tombstone?

The above phrase is a clever marketing tool for Tombstone Pizzas. However, it is a good question to ask yourself as well. Someday, when you die and are called to eternal life in Heaven, what do you want your tombstone to say? You can select one word and explain why that word would be on your tombstone, or you maybe could choose a favorite quote or Bible passage and explain why you would have that. If neither of those ideas seem appealing, you can write an entire paragraph that you would want printed on your tombstone. So, tell us, WHAT DO YOU WANT ON YOUR TOMBSTONE?

I don't know because I haven't thought about it but I probably would have to say something like a passage such as: For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. I would pick that bible verse because I believed in him and I am going to or already did get eternal life. Also because if I didn't believe I would probably perish or I would pick something like I have lived my life in peace and in harmony and know I am living another life even better in place of my Lord. I think that those words explain their selves.

John 16:33

John 16:33 states: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." This means that nothing in the world will ever be perfect, yet God has won the battle over the devil. No matter what, if we believe, we will live. Even if we do believe in Jesus, that doesn’t mean we can just do bad things and expect to go to heaven. We still need to try to fight off the devil and his works. That’s our ticket into heaven, which is where I’ll be when my tombstone is getting finished. :)

I think I would want the quote, Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace because that is the quote my sister put on my bookmark when I was little and I still have that bookmark. That quote is saying that you need courage to have peace with the world. I really like those words. They are very good advice for people. If I didn't chose that quote I would probably choose the words, a man of courage is also full of faith because it means that a person who is filled with courage has a lot of faith too. It says have faith in yourself and you will reach great things in life.

I think I would like my tombstone to say:

“But God’s mercy is great, and He loved us very much. Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, he gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace.”

That means that even if our earthly body is dead, we are spiritually alive (because of God’s grace), and our soul is still alive, waiting for us in heaven. When Jesus died on the cross, he took away our sins (He died in our place), so we don’t have to go to hell. If you truly believe in God’s Word, He will save you from hell and take you to eternal life in heaven when the world ends. I would want this verse on my tombstone, because when people walk by, they can know that I wasn’t scared to die. I knew where I was going. It might be a witness to extended family and other people, too.

Miss Miller,

This is something like what I would like on my tombstone.............

R.I.P

Because not so much the REST IN PEACE thing but still say the same initials but saying REST IN PARADISE. The reason is because, God promises us eternal Paradise in heaven. Luke 23: 39-43 say, one of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man as done nothing wrong.” then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you some into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “I ell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Call upon me in the day of trouble I will deliver you and you will honor me. Psalm 50:15
I really like that verse and want it to be on my tombstone. I believe what the bible verse means that if I believe in him and always try to do the right thing and spread his word. I know that when I am lonely or something is wrong, I can come to God by praying, singing or just by talking to him and he will help me. He may not always help me in the way I want him to but I know that he has a different plan for me.

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. Acts 16:31 is what I would like on my tombstone. When I die I want to be remembered as a person who believed and trusted in God. This verse states that I believe in Jesus and I hope that others that look at my grave can see that I believed. Hopefully others will realize that if they also believe they will be saved. Not saved from wars or blood but from the devil and hell. They will be able to live peacefully in heaven with God if the believe in the Lord.

What I would like to have on my gravestone is a passage from the Bible. The verse “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119: 105” I would like to have this on my gravestone because Jesus has led me through my life ever sense I was born, and he will until I pass away. The Holy Spirit has baptized me so that Jesus could come into my heart. I will always walk the path of believing in Jesus until I die. I hope that I won’t die for along time still but I will have to die. Unless Jesus comes back before I die and takes me to Heaven. I will try to tell others about Jesus and if I do I will tell them the verse that I want put on my gravestone. These words really mean a lot to me. That is the phrase that I would want to put on my gravestone.

"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation"
Mark 16:15

I would pick this verse because it is telling such a good message to all of us by telling us to tell others to tell others to tell others to tell others to tell the good word of God to all of creation (everyone on earth). This also is telling us our whole purpose of life on this wonderful planet. Our purpose of life on this planet is to tell others about the word of God to tell them about how Jesus was born in the manger and then died on the cross to grant us eternal life and to make us clean and wipe away our sin on the cross.

I would like to have on my tombstone, 'Christ is the same yesterday today and forever'. it means that even through you are you are dead, God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit still love you and you will go to heaven when you die if you beleve. When you are in heaven nothing bad will happen ever and you will get to see all your dead family members for the first time ever. When you go to Heaven there will be no suffering there, but the people that do not believe will not go to Heaven. That is what I would have on my tombstone.

What would you like on your tombstone? That is a hard question. One bible passage I would like to have on my tombstone is that God so loved the world that he sent his one and only son that he whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. This is a great verse to have on your tombstone because it shows that I am a Christian and I believe in God. I would also like a Christian symbol, cross or dove or perhaps a symbol of something I like doing. I have seen flowers or symbols representing the Navy or Army on some tombstones. These are some of the things I would like to have on my tombstone.

I would pick Matthew 28:18-20. Then Jesus came to them and said"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age. I like this verse because I know that Jesus is always with me through the good times and the bad.

If I had one thing on my tomb I would have

Trevor Stroebel

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
John 3:16

1995-????

I would have this on my tombstone because people can see it and see how even if you do not belive in God now you can still live forever instead of going to hell when you die. It would also tell people how much God loved the world and how he cares for you and he created you personally, and with his own hands.

Luke 7:50 says: Your faith has saved you go in peace. I think this is a great verse to put on a tombstone, maybe not mine because I'm not sure what I want on my tombstone ...yet! TLuke 7:50 says: Your faith has saved you go in peace. I think this is a great verse to put on a tombstone, maybe not mine because I'm not sure what I want on my tombstone ...yet! That verse simply means because of your faith Jesus died on the cross for us and saved us so that we can go in peace to heaven. "You have to believe to receive" is another saying, which could also be on a tombstone. That saying is very powerful, if you do not believe in Jesus Christ you will not receive eternal life or the gift of going to heaven. R.I.P Rest in Peace

I am not sure what I would write because I never really thought about it. I would pick rest in peace because when I die, I hope people realize I am in resting and in the wonderful world of heaven. I am at peace with myself. I hope this takes the guilt away from everyone who comes and looks at it. I hope they know where I am. I will be in God's world.

I have to think about this blog... I think that I would like a bible passage. "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him will not parish but have eternal life. John 3:16” I would have this on my tombstone because if anyone read it they would know I am a Christian and that I believed in God. Someone else might be inspired by my tombstone and realize that God is the one and only true god and start to be a Christian. I would hope that people would realize that it would be a better world if we stopped fighting and sinning.

I would want to have something like this written.
Austin Wagner
Beloved son, brother and Uncle
He Never Gave Up

The reason I would want that written on my Tombstone is because try hard not to give up in
b:ball F:ball and school and other sports or activities .

I would probably put Love Your Enimies. I would do that because that is what God wants. He would like everyone to treat each other the same. Also I would write this on my tombstone because life is to short to not get along with others. Most of the time when we don't love are enimies is because of dum reasons. When someone dies and you really did not like them you just feel a guilty feeling like you should have treated them better and respected their thoughts and opinions. So that is what I would put on my tombstone and why I would.

I don’t know what I really want on my tombstone, but I have a few ideas. My first one is, your time will come to, so don’t stand here mourning over me, go out and have fun with your life. I made that up. My next one is, life is short and you should spend the time that you have on earth with your family. My next one is, this is going to be you in a few months, years, or decades, so spend the time you have left wisely. Those are some things I would want to put on my tombstone.

I really havent thought about it...I think that death is far away...so I shouldnt have to think about it. My gravestone would Have my name and a small bible verse I guess. It really dosent matter to me, as long as my gravestone says that I was a christian and Im living eternal life with my God. I dont exactly have a bible in front of me now, but I would like a bible verse on mine that says how happy and energetic I was or am.

I really do not know because I do not think about death. But if so I probably would have some fancy jewels and a bible verse like The fool says in his heart "there is no God" they are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good Psalms 14:1. Because I am not a fool and I believe and it would show that I believe. Also I might put another verse on like Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind Matthew 22:37. Because I love God and I know that he will give me eternal life.

I really don't have much of an idea of what to put on my tombstone. I don't really know this because I don’t want to think about me dying right now. But by thinking it over quickly I think I would have something on how I was a great father, brother and sister, and a child of god. This is probably what I want on my tombstone. But later in my life might want a different saying on my tombstone but this is what I want right now. But like I was saying I really don’t want to think about death right now.
