What Do You Want On Your Tombstone?

What Do You Want on Your Tombstone? The above phrase is a clever marketing tool for Tombstone Pizzas. However, it is a good question to ask yourself as well. Someday, when you die and are called to eternal life in Heaven, what do you want your tombstone to say? You can select one word and explain why that word would be on your tombstone, or you maybe could choose a favorite quote or Bible passage and explain why you would have that. If neither of those ideas seem appealing, you can write an entire paragraph that you would want printed on your tombstone. So, tell us, WHAT DO YOU WANT ON YOUR TOMBSTONE?

I WOULD PROBLEY HAVE THE PASSAGE FROM JOHN 3:16. I CHOSE THIS VERSE BECAUSE OF TWO REASONS:
ONE: IT'S TELLING EVERYONE TO SPREAD THE GOOD WORD
TWO:THE CHAPTER AND VERSE ARE MY BIRTHDAY.
THOSE ARE TWO MAIN REASONS WHY I CHOSE THIS BIBLE PASSAGE. IF I COULN'T PICK A BIBLE PASSAGE I WOULD CHOSE THE TITLE OF THIS BOOK I HAVE BECAUSE IT'S QUOTES FROM BASKETBALL PLAYERS ON HOW TO HAVE A GOOD ATITUDE WHEN PLAYING THE GAME AND WHY IT'S IMPORTANT. THERE IS ONE OTHER THING I WOULD WANT ON MY TOMSTONE, MY NAME. THE ONLY THING I WOULDN'T WANT ON MY TOMSTONE IS WHEN I WAS BORN AND WHEN I DIED. THIS IS WHAT I WOULD AWNT ON MY TOMSTONE.

If I had to pick what would be on my tombstone (which I really don’t want to have to worry about that) I would probably say,” My mom always said that when you laugh really hard, a chemical is released and it is very healthy for you, I am sure that I used this chemical a lot and that is one of the reasoned I was usually healthy.” I guess that I would have this written on my tombstone because my mom was always important to me and the statement is very true. I would also like to have my name and the years I lived on it.

If I got to choose what was on my tombstone I would pick one word. That word is God. If it weren’t for God I wouldn’t even be alive in the first place. I think that God should be on my tombstone because 1.He created us 2. He loves us a lot 3. He helps us get through hard times. That is why I think God should be on my tombstone. I also would want my full name on it. I would also when I was born to when I died on it. That is what I want on my tombstone.

If I had to chose a phrase to be on my tomdstone it would be,
GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. I LOVE THAT VERSE CAUSE BEING BAPTIZED IS A WONDERFUL THING AND TO SAY HEY I WAS BAPTIZED IS AMAZING CAUSE GOD CARES SO MUCH HE SENT HIS SON TO DIE FOR OUR SINS and for the people who are baptized have a gift cause GOD caresn for them and were going to meet him in heaven. That is my phrase.

If had to choose a phrase to be on my tombstone it would probley be something my 6th grade Colts football coach used to always say before a game "They give us an inch, we take a mile". In a game that was always in my head. By the way i really do not want to be thinking about that righ about now. I would also want the phrase "I am Jesus' little Lamb". Because we are all Jesus' little lamb and he is our shepherd and he is always looking after us to make sure nothing bad happens to us. That would be my phrase

There are two possible things that I would want on my tombstone. The first thing would be a quote that I think makes sense with the whole life and death thing."Life is a movie, death is a photograph".It kind of relates to how are lives just keep on going like movie, but can freeze at any time just like being stuck in a photograph.Another possible thing on my tombstone would be "Never quit cause success feels great." That quote would probaly be reflected on my sports career and hard work in life. This quote would probaly inspire someone whos having a bad season or just can't get things moving along like they should be. I really think this qoute can get someone out of the dumps.

My tombstone would not have much on it. First, just the usual, MEGAN THEESFELD, APRIL 12TH, 1996-WHENEVER I DIE. Then, I would want to have a volleyball engraved on it to symbolize my favorite sport. I would have this verse on my tombstone too"I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise. Luke 23:43". I just find so much comfort in that verse because basically that verse is telling us that if we believe in Jesus, when we die, we can go to heaven and live EXTREMELY happy in eternal life with him forever. That's what I would have on my tombstone.

I would want "To forgive someone is to admit our limitations.
We've been given only one piece of life's jigsaw puzzle.
Only God has the cover of the box."
--Max Lucado on my tombstone because it talks about how we each have a piece of that puzzle and it's our job to bring it up and once we accept the Lord we get that piece of the puzzle. Once we bring it up God says here put that piece their and you are that much closer to helping the world finish their puzzle.

My tombstone would have the word RESPECT because my goal is to reach up to that word. RESPECT is something that we should all work on. We should all show RESPECT to parents, teachers, guardians, and GOD. RESPECT is an important thing in life and it will help me and others reach our goals in life. My other choice would be SUCCEED. If you SUCCEED in life or something you do it helps you and makes you feel good about yourself. If you SUCCEED, you achieve and if you achieve you believe. If you believe in GOD you will go to heaven and live eternally.

REAL CHEESE!(ha ha ha)

I probably wouldn't have much on mine. It would probably have my name, the date I was born, and the date I died. Depending on how I died I would want different messages on it because if I die because of heart disease I wouldn't want to talk about my something that has to do with my brain. I would probably have a bible passage on it and fancy details around the words and whole tombstone. The tombstone would probably come from Rock of Ages in Grafton(if it's still in the family) because my grandpa and Uncle work there. My family would probably get a small discount on it because I don't think my uncle would buy a tombstone for my dog(Nymba) when she died if it was expensive. I would also want decorations around my grave because otherwise it would look boring and dull. That is how I would want my tombstone.

i would want mine to say "here lie a person that lived a very long life and but sometimes messed up. she still loved the game of b-ball and hopfully she'll watch everyone down here from up above -Tatum C. Roth." then the painting on my tomestone would be a bright orange basketball with flames of fire comeing out from behind it. then in green letter Tatum C. Roth. then the background wil be black.

On my tombstone I would like my name and my nick name with my birth date and what the years were that I lived from. I would like the bible verse from Luke 23:43 I tell you the truth you will be with me in paradise. I would like it if there would be all my dogs’ names on there with a picture of them on it. I would like it if I could have all my best friends’ names and nick names. The friends I would like on there would be Ally, Alex, Ty, Travis, Brianna Shea. The nick names would be Grinch, Grump, Rock Lizard, Middle, and Bshea. I would like a baseball for my brother, a tennis ball for my cousin Jessica, a foot ball for my cousin Ryan, and a volley ball for me. I would like my mom, aunt, and grandmas name on there to. This is why I would like on me tombstone

Then on the very bottom it would say" never give up!" If that would happen it would be so cool. that would be my tomestone.

On my tombstone I would like to have Lauren Weiss Born Febuary 17 1996 Died Febuary 17 3067. I want to live a very long time. My tombstone would be 2 by 2 so I would have lots of room to right my sayings. My sayings that I would have on my tombstone would be beliveing is suceeding. That would be one of my choices because you have to belive you can do something to succeed in it or you probaly will fail at it cause you already know you did. I would want the bible verse Love your enemies Matthew 5:44 because the world would be a whole lot nicer if we all got along.

On my tombstone I would want it to say: R.I.P because I would know that my family would want me to rest in peace and I would this: Margarett E. Loveless November 16th 1995 - November 16th 2090. but hopeful when I die my funeral will be a celebration that I will be in heaven eternaly. On my tombstone I would also like it to have a picture of a volleyball, a basketball, and pom pons to signify how much I love those sports.

I would want my tombstone to say here lies Tyler Schleg. A father husband and a great man. If I join the army I would like to say a brave and loyal man to die in combat. He blessed souls that he saved he fought. And may he live in peace in Heaven. If I become a bioligist I would like it to say he had a love for life like he loved God. If not any of those, overall I would like it to say hear lies Tyler Schleg, a man who loved life as much as others. These are what I would like on my tombstone

Anonymous said...

On my tombstone, I would want R.I.P. on the top and on the bottom, John 3:16 (For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.) I would want that verse on my tombstone because it’s my favorite verse and it shows that if we believe, we will all go to heaven. I would also want obviously my name, and the years that I was born and died. I would also want a picture of a volleyball and a basketball engraved in my tombstone. So I know this is probably quite a while away, but that’s what I would want on my tombstone. :-)

If I had to pick a tombstone saying our verse it would probally something about me dying and I had a great life and that I loved sports blah blah blah blah BORING! IF I had a choice it would have my favorite verse on it PRAY CONTINUALLY, simple I know but it means alot as a christian. I would like my name on it Wen I was born and died ,say I loved God and that I loved sports mostly basketball(thankyou dad for my teaching)

My tombstone would say "GOD'S CHILD" Jack Ische March 23rd 1996-the date I die. It would say that because I know that through out the years of my life I'am going to keep on building a strong relationship with Christ. I would like to end my life with a thanks to the Lord my God Jesus Christ. With out Him there would be NO way I would be able to enter the gates of heaven. On the back of my tombstone htere would be a cross in the middle,a shell with water drops below to the right of the cross, and to rhe right there would be a loaf of bread with a cup next to it. This all represents that Jesus died for me on the cross on good friday and the two sacraments. (Baptism and Communion)

Anonymous said...

My tombstone would be 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide and getting thinner as it gets taller. It would also have a cross at the top. Next to my name there would be a panda with a rose in its hand. I would want that because I absolutely adore pandas and roses are sooooooooooooo beautiful. I would also have a silhouette of me with faux diamonds around the frame. Above my name it would have words that my family picks out. Preferably words that describe me or a Bible verse. So that’s what would be on my tombstone. If I described the wrong thing, I’m terribly sorry. So here is the other option: I would want a large with extra cheese and pepperoni. Oh…and thick crust that is cheese filled.

My tombstone would say "Never stop believing!" Thats the phrase that I always say in my head when I play basketball.Or I would have "Try your best whatever you do" because if you don't try than you won't succeed.I usually say that when I take Math test because I'm really bad at Math!!!!!!!My tomstone would be silver with dark purple stripes.

Miss Miller, I'm not planning on dying for quite a while yet, so what I put on here probably won't be what's on my real tombstone, if I even have one. I would probably rather be cremated and thrown in the ocean off the coast of Denmark near Haelberk. I love it there, and it's one of my favorite places because they have sweet beaches and stuff. It's also where most of my family has lived for years. That's what I would want to be done with my body when I die. If I had to have a tombstone, I would probably have my name and the year I was born on it, as well as a phrase my cousins from Denmark would come up with. I left the phrase to them because I am very close to all of my Danish cousins. Now I'm completely depressed and thinking about wills and stuff. Thanks alot miss miller.

On my tombstone, I would have a picture of my pony (Dusty)engraved on it. I would also have a cross on the top of it, and I would also have my name, date of birth and death and i would have my parents pick out a bible verse that fit me best. I would also like some more animals engraved next to the words.
I would also want a bible engraved into the stone.

My tombstone would say here lies Nathaniel.A.Wilde. I would have the verse: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son so that whoever believeth in shalt not parish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

I will pick that certain verse because it means a lot to me I mean I use that in a lot of situations. I just think about that when I start to get hotheaded that cools me down a ton. I use it to have something to think about it soothes my fears. I would also have this verse on my grave. Be not afraid for I the lord am with you

Genesis 26:24

I would pick that verse because it helps me on my fears and also on things I think I can’t do. I would have this in bold on the bottom of my grave, God Bless All.

On my tombstone it will say Coleton David Lempke BOY OF DESTINY
and then November 1st 1995- date of death. And it would say husband(hopefully otherwise i'm gonna have to live with my mom aghhhhhhhhh) father and good friend and the verse would probably be for god so loved the world that he gave his only son so that whoever belives in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. If this blog has to be 100 words I am going to kick myself so hard

My tombstone would read "Things happen for a reason, just believe.” I would want that on my tombstone because so far through the tough times in my life I always think things happen for a reason just believe and then I feel ok and know that everything is going to turn out ok. That saying has sort of inspired me through out my life so far. This is my life and what ever happens it is for a reason and I know that for sure. That is why my tombstone would say "things happen for a reason just believe." And I hope that saying would inspire you too.

What I would like to have in my tombstone would be my name Meghan E. Groppe (or what ever my last name is). I would like a paragraph that said, "She loved to help and be around kids. She loved to play sports she played basketball (all positions), volleyball (labor and setter), softball (pitcher, shortstop, and 1st base). She loved to be around her family and to help." I would like it to be light blue and light green. I would like to have a bright orange basketball and a red and black volleyball. These are some of the things that I would like on my tombstone.

I don’t really like this blog, because it involves me dying WHICH IN NOT COOL AT ALL! Well what I would want on my tombstone is that I was rally good at sports like basketball or football even my dad said I was a mini jock like my brother. I had really good friends growing up like Zach, Joel, JB, Coleton, Vance, I think you know what I mean right. I would like it to include all of the schools I went to and all of my teachers. I would want it to say what I was thankful for like everybody at FIL and all of my family members on it. And that is what I would like on my TOMBSTONE.

P.S. I do not want to DIE!

Anonymous said...

If i was died, which i don't, i would want a every one to remeber me because i want to by a little famous and i would like a stone carving of me on my tomestone and good story of my life carved in the tomestone, And the best thing would be was i get to go to heaven and see God and heaven lots of fun and i could do what ever i want, I would do all my dreams in heaven but every one would still remeber me done on Earth

I don’t really know don’t really feel like thinking about dieing at the moment. But pretty much what everyone has on there gravestone. I would have my birth date, the day I died, Also the day I was baptized. I would put my confirmation verse (which I obviously don’t know since we pick them in 8th grade.) This isn’t really how I want it to look but I would like it to be either close to my parents’ graves or my grandparents graves. I would like it to tell about the person I am. Maybe some other important info to.

On my tombstone I would want lots of stuff. I would like my picture on it because I always think that those tombstones look cool (I know it is weird that I think pictures on tombstones are cool), anyways I would probably like a paragraph on my tombstone telling how my life went and telling what important things I did. I would like my tombstone sort of big (not one of those huge ones) and I want it to look really shiny. I hope that I get my tombstone next to one of my family members or near one of my good friends. I would also want an important Bible passage that had an effect on my life on my tombstone. THE END

On my tombstone I would not want to think of dying but here we go. I would put :):):):):):):):):):):):):) on my tomb stone because I’m a smiley kind of guy I Can’t think of really anything but if I was to die from a gun..... Ahhhhhhh bad thought sorry but I know that I would go to heaven because I was baptized and I am very strong in my faith and I think Jesus Christ will come again because he is going to save everybody. I would also have “Here lies Eric Petsch son of Melanie and Steve Petsch” awww 99 words nevermind.

Anonymous said...

On my tombstone it would say at the top in cool lettering would say JONATHAN LEE WOLLNER DIED THIS ON THIS DAY --------- AND ALWAYS LOVED HIS FAMILY, BIKING, FISHING, AND THE OUTDOORS. HE LOVED CAMPING IN THE SUMMER. IN THE FALL HE LOVED TO BE OUTDOORS HIKING AND BIKING. IN THE WINTER HE LIKED CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND PLAYING BASKETBALL. I would want a tent carved in my tombstone at the bottom with my life time 1996 June 18- whatever. I would want my family by me my dad on the right and my mom on the left with my sister and my brother next to my parents. I would then have a Bible verse of my family’s choice.

I would just like cheese please, what I would like on my tombstone is probably my favoirt Bible verse,"Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing because to this you where called that you may inhearit a blessing." 1 Peter 3:9. I like this verse because it's pretty much saying that don't get mad and take revenge on the mean girl that talked bad about you or you may regret it but be nice and have a good time. I would want my full name but like this: Claire R. Kitzerow, then but when I was born and when I died.

On my tombstone I would have Today you will be with me in paridise. I would have my name on it and have what years I lived in. I would have my parents names on it and a engraving of a flower. I would also have flowers in front of it. It would have my city I was born. That would be my tombstone.

I would have all my favorite bible verses on my tombstone like go and teach the good new to all creation, baptizing them in the name of the father the son and the holy spirit. Or in the beging God created the heavens and the earth. I think I already told you this but when I die, I'm going to have all my personel possesions buried with me so that in the future archieoligist's will find my grave and know what life, in an archieoligist's job, you would be lucky if you found an ancient toilet. I also want a very fancey tombstone, something to light up the grave. By Noah Rotter
