There are many differences between fairy tales and folk tales. One of them is that fairy tales are more based on magical stuff, and are made for just entertainment, while folk tales are made for entertainment and can teach you a lesson. Folk tales are also a lot more realistic than fairy tales. For example, Can someone really turn into a frog? I prefer fairy tales more because fairy tales are longer and I don’t like really short stories like the folk tales we read today. I also like the Grimm Brothers fairy tales a lot because not everyone lives happily in those.

Here are some similarities between folk tales and fairy tales. First off, folk tales and fairy tales were made to give entertainment, like most stories. Second, fairy tales and folk tales can have talking animals in it. , like the Davy Crockett story she read us today. Here are some differences. First, folk tales can have the same main character, while fairy tales usually don’t. Second, folk tales are sorted into different groups by culture, and fairy tales are mostly sorted by what kinds of thing are in the stories. My favorite kind of tale is folk tale, because it seems a little manlier then fairy tales, except the original Cinderella.

Folk and fairy tales are similar because the story teaches you a lesson. They are both stories told by the community story teller from long ago. A fairy tale uses made up characters like goblins, elves and talking animals. Folk tales use music and dance to help tell their stories.
I would prefer reading a fairy tale because it is more exciting and the stories are more interesting. I also like the characters they use in fairy tales because they make it funny when they are talking and joking around. It is funny to read about a talking animals and goblins.

Hi this is tracy. folk tales and fairy tales are the same because they are both entertaining. they sometimes can help a person see the punishments of messing up. they are different because folk tales are more relistic. magic and happily ever after seems more fairy taleish.also, both have heroes and love. they both tach a lesson. i prefer fairy tales because they are happier and more magical. i like folk tales some times but they seem too real. folk tales still have talking animales, but they still seem more real. fairy tales also have romance and love. i love the idea of castles, pincesses, and true love.

There are some similarities and differences between folk tales and fairy tales? Folk tales are usually older and passed down so there are diffrent ways to tell them. Also in folk tales there are more bad endings. In fairy tales there tends to be more unreal things like talking candelsticks they also have happy endings almost all the time. I prefer fairy tales cause I like the way the prince saves the princess. But I like the folk tales for their originality and diffrence.

It is hard to find differences between folk tales and fairy tales. It is easier to find similarities because they are more alike than different. Well folk tales are stories that are passed down by people long ago, but fairy tales were just mad up. They are both likely to be fiction though. Fairy tales seem to have more magic like creatures than folk tales do. It says that the brothers Grim wrote both folk and fairy tales down for people to enjoy. I think I totally like fairy tales better than folk tales because I enjoy listening about fairy godmothers and princesses and princes! Even if some of them can be gruesome.

Hi this is Tucker there are many differences between fairy tales and folk tales. But it is hard to find some diiferences though.Folk tales are passed down from generation to generation and there are millions of different tales to. And fairy tales are also passed down to but they get changed up a little bit through time and most of them have happy endings.the Grimm brothers also wrote fairy tales and folk tales that is why there are so many of them and they are all different. The folk tales get changed because they are passed down through different people so they will add or take away different parts ofthe story.

For Example the boy who cryied wolf he kept calling wolf when there really wasn't and then once there was one no believed him! Fairy Tales usually have happy endings! Like Cinderella she is like the maid but then she turns out to get the prince! I think i like fairy Tales better because they intrest me more than folk tales do!

There is a very big difference between folk tales and fairy tales. Folk tales most of the time are sad endings like the boy who cried wolf. When he was telling the truth they didn't believe him and the wolf ate his sheep. Fairy tales usually end in a happy way. Like Snow white was in love and lived happily ever after. Folk tales are more about teaching a lesson and fairy tales are more about magical things. I like fairy tales more because they are more interesting and I have always read more fairy tales.

Hi, this is Jonathan. Here are some similarities of fairy tales and folk tales. Both of these are made up and have talking pets or other animals in them. They are also known for the comedy or entertainment that are in these stories. Like most stories, they also teach you a lesson. Now here are some differences between fairy tales and folk tales. Fairy tales are usually children’s stories that contain made up characters and almost always have happy endings while folk tales are a legendary story of an oral tradition and are mostly for adults. Also, folk tales are passed down from generation to generation.

This is Adley. A similarity could be that they are both usually made up. A difference could be that a folk tale is used to teach a lesson, but a fairy tale is used to entertain. Another difference is that in a fairy tale there is a lot of magical creatures. In folk tales there are usually no magical creatures, but they may make animals talk or put some other type of spin on something. Now after hearing both I think I would prefer to hear folk tales. I think I would rather hear folk tales because I like how they always have some type lesson at the end.

Here are some differences between folk tales and fairy tales. Folk tales are more real. Fairy tales are just fun little stories. Folktales teach lessons and fairytales do not. They are both made up. Fairy tales begin with once apon a time and end with happily ever after usually. Fairy tales don’t take part in real laces usually. Fairy tales have made up creatures. Folk tales are more cultural. They are both passed own for generations. They are both for fun. I think fairy tales are better because they are magical and more imaginative. Those are some differences between folk tales and fairy tales.
