Report on the Birth of Christ
Imagine that you were a news reporter for the Bethlehem Herald (Bethlehem's premier newspaper). You are assigned to write an article about the birth of baby Jesus. Write an interesting and detail-filled news article that tells of his birth. You can pick one part of the Christmas story to share or you could tell the whole story. Remember, give the perspective (or voice) of a news reporter. Your reporter could be comical (yet still truthful), serious, perpelexed, or extremely excited. It's up to you!

I Ralph Norton am going under cover as a shepered to see what being a shepered is all about, and who knows what will happen. The sun is starting to set and there is only one star in the sky. The other shepereds say that it is a sign from God. I belive them. We were watching our sheep and a angel of God aproched us saying that the son of God was by the star. the other shepereds and I followed the star like the angel told us to. There we saw him, the son of God. It was the best feeling in the world to be in his presence. We also met three wisemen the babys' mother and father and some animals. This was the best day ever.
Just a few days ago, inside our very own Bethlehem city, something extremely important happened. No one is REALLY sure, but they say the so-called “Savior” was born. A couple named Mary and Joseph, from the line of David, traveled all the way from Nazareth, only to realize there was no place to stay! “I told them there was just no room in my inn. Well, I guess I felt pretty sorry for them, so I did what could and gave them my stable,” the Bethlehem Bed and Breakfast owner told the news reporters. In the morning, shepherds from the fields were just leaving this mystery scene. Did these sheepherders give him a special gift that no one other than them knows about? Most of the villagers are very excited about this, although, some aren’t so happy. We will conclude this article, but there will be more to this story next week!

Katelin Kornne here, today I'm reporting on an extraordinary, exciting, and mysteriousbirth. Yesterday some Shepherds and at least three kings were at the most amazing place ever they were at the place of which Jesus the promise son was born. There were three gifts of frankincense, mere, and gold. Before this happened I didn't believe in God but now I wouldn't miss a thing that happens in Jesus' life. I think the best thing that has happened in my life probably happened on December 25th. Anyways there were many people who loved Jesus but king Herod didn’t. Well I guess that is it see ya next time.
Rumor has it that the "Christ" has been born in Bethlehem. "We traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem with me riding side-saddle, pregnant, on a donkey. We were very tired by the time we arrived, and we couldn't find a place to go. We finally met a nice man who let us stay in his stable, not the best spot to stay, but it was better than nothing!" Mary says. "Later, I gave birth to my son. We wrapped him in clothes and laid him in the manger. A couple hours later, these shepherds walked in, praising the little baby! They said an angel came and told them to come, then a multitude of angels came and started singing!" Yes, again, the Savior has been born!!

This Rob Black, we are going to interupt this program with late breaking news. It comes from Bethlehem. A couple named Mary and Joesph had a baby boy, which is the son of God. Three wise men traveled a long distance to see the son of God. They brought gifts to him. Shepherd also came. They were told by a angel that the son of God was born. When they arrived they found the baby boy wrapped in cloth in a stable surrounded by animals. What a beautiful site. What a beautiful day. This is Rob Black rejoicing that the Savior is born! Great news today in our little town of Bethlehem there was a baby born and he shall be our Christ Savior! His parents (Mary and Joseph) needed to go to Bethlehem because Ceaser Augustus sent out a letter saying wherever you were born go to that land. So Mary and Joseph packed up there things got the donkey ready and they left. Mary was expecting a baby. There was no room for them in the inn so they had to stay in a stable! There in that stable Mary gave birth to Jesus she wrapped him in cloths and laied him in a manger! There were some shepherds who were told by tons of angels to come to our town of Bethlehem there was a baby born called Jesus! It was amazing how the shepherds found Jesus. They found him just by believing and following a big and bright yellow star! Three amazing wise Kings followed that same star to find Jesus and they brought him great gifts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey folks! Haley here, reporting on the birth of our Savior! Let’s go LIVE to the important birth that will save us all! Wow! Mary just gave birth to Jesus, and now...she’s putting him in a manger...but why a manger? Didn’t Joseph have any sense to build a cradle? And why was this King born in a stable? Huh...so many questions! Ooh! Wait, three wise men are appearing now...they come with gifts! Let’s get closer! Mary has swaddled the King in cloth, and is now showing her baby the wondrous gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Angels are flooding the skies, to see this amazing sight! The animals seem to be rejoicing too! What an awesome experience I cannot wait until he grows up a little… He will be a very bright boy! Before we go, lets interview Mary and Joseph!

.Mary. Great! This is the best day ever! It doesn’t matter that the inn was full, the stable was very warm and inviting.
.Haley. (So that’s why he was in a stable!) Wow…do you have plans for you two and the baby?
.Joseph. An Angel says that he will save us from our sins and die for us. I really don’t want to see him go anytime soon, but if it be the Good Lord’s will, let it be so.

Hi I’m George Krueger back on the news flash on baby who?? Jesus!! He was born tonight at midnight, when everybody heard some sort of hymn sounded like Gloria! I’m going under cover tonight to see what he looks like, I can’t be seen. When I was walking I heard this voice saying do not take this time for your own spread it to the whole world now go and tell everyone. When I heard the voice I was startled so I ran and started shouting to tell everyone the good news! Now Im back in the news room with Weird Al and he is singing this song about baby Jesus and his birth!
Hi I'm Taylor Mentzel reporting the news of the birth of the baby Jesus. I'm standing right here in this very city of Bethlehem. It's December 25th and the savior was born this morning. Last night Mary and Joseph were traveling to Bethlehem so Mary could have her baby. But they had no room in the inn! The owner of the inn told Mary and Joseph that they could stay in the Manger with all of the animals in the back. When Mary gave birth to a new baby boy named Jesus, she wrapped him in cloth and layed him in a manger. All the sheppards and wise men and all of their animals came to view the Savior. They gave him gifts of all different kinds. Truly this was a very amazing day.

I am here in a corner of a stable watching everything that is going on. I am hearing that shepards got word from an angel that something was happening and to follow the bright star. They did and it landed them here. Also, Mary traveled a far distance and once she got here all the inns were full. Someone said she could stay in the stable. Once she got there, she had a baby. Its name is Jeseus. It is a miricle. I can't believe what I am seeing. What a day!!! Our Savior was born!

This is Dave Pickle reporting live at Bethlehem. I have just received news from Sally Dill. She said that the shepherds had just seen a miraculous sight of angels singing songs in the sky. Now they’re on their way to see the newborn baby Jesus. He is said to be the Savior of the world and he will save everyone from his or her sins. Right now I’m in the stable looking down at the new baby Jesus. He is so cute! All the animals ate making noise as if it were a parade. Every single shepherd is down on their knees. Both Mary and Joseph have tears of joy in their eyes. You don’t want to look up in the sky because there is a really bright light. It seems to shine right down on the stable I am standing in. Well I really wish you could have been her to see this sight with me it is just so beautiful. Back to you George and have a Merry Christmas.
Here we are live in Bethlehem. There has been a shocking story a couple from Nazareth traveled to Bethlehem to have a son who is the Savior of the world. When they arrived here they came upon an inn. To their surprise the inn was full. Mary the mother was going to have her baby so they had to just deal with it in the stable where all the animals were. She had the baby and they named it Jesus because the Lord sent an angel earlier and said the babe shall be called Jesus. Later many people have been wanting to see this marvalous thing. We talked to the sheperds and asked how they found out and they said angels appeared to them in the fields and told them. The wisemen had to follow a star to get here in Bethlehem. What a great day for everyone the Savior has been born.

KING IS BORN IN BETHLEHEM
Born in a manger and wrapped in cloth was said to be a great ruler. I am Jon Farisoin and this writing is based on what the people have called, "The Prince of Peace." Not a cloud in the sky as I walked through the fields of Jerusalem. Some lonesome shepherds were sitting nearby with the fire at their feet. Their sheep were grazing and the men were sleeping when suddenly a huge burst of light appeared in the heavens singing. The shepherds were horrified. The Mighty Heavens gave the shepherd instructions and within minutes they were running. I decided to follow them when suddenly I saw a great star shining over what I thought was the LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM. In the poor little town, in a cold, dark stable was the noise of a baby's cry. The baby was said to be the KING OF KINGS and yet was born in a place like this. I decided to walk in. A young couple greeted me. As dawn approached Bethlehem it was my time to be headed off.

An amazing thing happened today in a stable in Bethlehem. There was a girl named Mary who was going to get married to a guy named Joseph. Everyone had to go to their home town to be taxed so Mary went with Joseph. From where they lived to get to Bethlehem it was a long way on foot. Mary was pregnant. When they got there they had to stay in a stable because it was so crowded. Mary had her baby and she laid him in a manger. Then a bunch of shephards came and worshipped the baby. They knew it was the son of God because an angel told them. After they worshipped Jesus they went around the city telling people. Here I am, outside of the city of Jeruselum walking in the mountains. I am fllowing the 3 kings that are walking into town. They told me that they are following the brite star that is shining in the sky. They are right, there is a brite star shining above the town.
Behind the 3 kings is a little boy playing a drum. I asked him what he was doing and where he was going. He said that he is going to see the new baby and play him a song on his drum. He was practicing it on his way. I decided to follow them too, and see this new baby for myself. I hope it isn't too much longer, because it is really cold out here.
My name is Fritzdaman and I am reporting as an undercover shepherd. I am listening to the strange woman, Mary, telling us a strange, hard to believe story. She says that she was visited by an angel who told her that she was going to have a son and that it was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Her husband, Joseph, who was a lowly carpenter, was also visited by the angel who told him that his wife, Mary, was to give birth to the Christ Child. He was to name him Immanuel. Mary, who for some reason got pregnant even though she and Joseph weren’t married, married Joseph (Finally!) and they had to go to Joseph’s hometown because Cesar proclaimed that a censes be taken and everyone had to go to their hometown. They traveled to Bethlehem and when they got there Mary was heavy with child and no one had room in their inn. Luckily for them, one nice innkeeper let them use his stable and Mary had her kid there.
